I find this game actually real good. The overall graphics aren't that next-gen but while playing I was introduced to many little features, both graphical and contextual. Those are the best I have seen in fligght sims so far. If you don't know what I talk about I think you have missed some great part of the game before complaining how "awful" it is!

Must admit when I first bought this game I did wonder why I had wasted my money and put it to one side. Decided today to pick it up again and whilst it isn't amazing at all I did enjoy it and had a fun couple of hours.

I agree...you just have to give it a chance. If you go into the options and change the controls from "Arcade" to "Real", it gives the gameplay alot better feel. And i found the graphics actually pretty good at times...except for the fact that the ground textures dont change at all when you get to a lower altitude!

Yeah, true but is that really imoportant? Most people that say this just arent very good but agreed, it isnt the best game in the world. Its repetetive but its not bad, probably 7/10.

But really, what the point in the early levels to have a mission last less than 30 seconds...how are you suppose to give the game a chance. I really want to get the hang of it but am not seeing how this is suppose to happen. I played f15 strike eagle on the apple 2 c over 20 years ago, it was also difficult, and eventually i did get the hang of it. But with so many other better games to play it just isnt possible to give this game a chance....

I think i prefered playing blazing angels rather than over g!! I just feel that there are a lot of games being brought out without any real depth to them, seems people dont care about bringing the best game they can possibly make out, they just want to bring games out to get quick money.

I would have to agree. Blazing Angels was a much better game imo. I tried the controls in Over G on both settings and didn't care for either of them. A lot of the levels were way to short (especially in the beginning) and were just not very fun for me. While Blazing Angels wasn't exactly the best game out there, I wouldn't mind playing it again. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about Over G. But again that is just my opinion. For those that enjoyed it, I'm glad you did, At least someone could get some fun out of it.

I have found that this is a really nice and accurate flight sim. Sure some of the earlier levels are pretty short, but once you get into the swing of things, you can bust through them and get some really nice aircraft which add tons to the game as well as getting into some of the missions which can take quite a while to do.

At times it can be irritating when you get ambushed from what would appear to be no-where but so long as you have got through the missile-dodging learning curve you should be okay.

Also, I find its quite a thrill to dodge 2 incoming missiles to then spin around and take out your attackers.

I am enjoying this game, but it took considerable perserverence to get over the fact that to begin with... i was TOTALLY crap at it!

to compare this game to blazing angels is likew comparing ice cream and cheese this game is good i love it the realism the moden planes etc,
yes it can be a pain to begin with but the further in you get the better it becomes, its again like the posts in blazing angels this is a Marmite Game you either love it or hate it


for a real laugh play it pissed or stoned damn it becomes some silly fun lol

I haven't played it yet, but people that say... worst game ever, probably haven't even played more than 20 minutes of it, so I don't know this thread kinda is spammy.. Could at least explain what's bad about it, instead of... "that's it" :P

I have played it on my sons 360 and i must admit at first i thought damn i don't like this attall BUT after an hour or so once getting used to the controls i must admit i began to like it, i also think it is better than blazin angels. i would give the game a rating of 7/10. ;)

I agree with you, defenitly. That game truly was god awful. Me, being a huge fan of flight combat sim, that means a lot. Sure the planes look nice and the ground looks good (from a high altitude, mind you) but everything else is just crap! It reminded me of an arcade game first time i picked it up. Defenitly not worth my $60 i paid for it at the time. Good thing I sold it the week after I got it.

All in all, terrible game, I need Ace Combat 6 to fix that wound.

over g is like a real game everything is perfect(except for the ground)ace combat is a arcade game..going 1000+ in couple of seconds is FAKE,unlimited missiles FAKE.over g on the other hand the heavier your plane is the slower it goes,gotta be smart with your missiles and i love the fuel^.^ and also realistic aircraft carrier landings<3.i love both games but if i want realism ill play over g.:)

I have to agree anyone who says they are a real flight sim fan and then they don't like this aren't a true flight sim fan. This is realistic unlike ace combat and blazing angels (crap, controls are the worst ever) you actually have a reasonable amount of missles unlike ace combat which is 80 odd (how can that be classed as a flight sim it's an arcade game) and the heavier the payload the slower it turns it has to be the best flight sim on the Xbox360.
