View Full Version : Keiji Inafune at Redmond EB Games

So, if any Major Nelson readers read his blog yesterday, you would have known that Keiji Inafune was at the Redmond, WA EB Games signing copied of Dead Rising.

I was lucky number 11 in line, so I got in right as Mr. Inafune got there. According to the guy working at EB Games the store only had 100 copies of the game (including Pre-Orders) so they went out real fast.

Here's a picture of the line right before they opened the doors.

Now, here's a picture of Mr. Inafune signing my copy of Dead Rising.

If you notice his face, you'll see a shock of amazement. If you look closely you'll see that's an alternate cover for Dead Rising. That's the "Display Purpose Only" copy that EB Games is supposed to, by law, destroy. Luckily my friend and I each got a copy and had Mr. Inafune sign it. Say hello to one of two people to have that little piece of paper signed -smiles-

No special faceplates or anything though, that was weak. I did happen to snag an Xbox 360 shirt and a Gear of War temporary tattoo.

And Major Nelson didn't even show up while I was there. He might have made a late appearance, but as of 4:45 he was a no-show. (Mr. Inafune was only signing 4-6)

damn you! why wasnt this in the forums? or was it? I really would have made that trip to go, i only live an hour away from that mall. come on locals tell me about these cool events i miss out on!

Damn you! why wasnt this in the forums? or was it? I really would have made that trip to go, i only live an hour away from that mall. come on locals tell me about these cool events i miss out on! I guess it was on both Joystick and Major Nelson's blog. (I found out from Major Nelson's blog when he posted on Monday, but the guy behind me in line said he found out from Joystick.

Yup, that was me. Long sleeve t-shirt...hat on.

I found out about it on Major Nelson's blog also. I was hoping he would be there. I guess he showed up a bit late, but I had already left.

I saw you guys both there! I was third.... er.... fourth... in line. With my friend and little brother. That's my shirt he's signing in one of BigRedYeti's pictures! I pretty much played Lumines the whole time to pass the two hours standing in front of that store. But it was worth it.

I actually had to work at another EB Games where I live at 6 that night, and I brought my copy in to work to show off, and they ended up putting it into the demo 360 all night. It was great.
