I've read from a few different, honest-sounding people on here that the developers are currently only allowed to play player matches for whatever reason, as the achievement is viral and they want to hold back on releasing it for awhile so lots of people play all day long in hopes they get it. That last part is my own assumption, I can't see any other reason. Actually, maybe they just haven't been able to program it properly yet to unlock and they think it'd be unfair to have people kill a developer in ranked and have it not work yet.

You might actually be right, maybe they haven't got the programming right, because as we all know, a lot of achievements in the world are glitched, so Rockstar probably don't want a load of complaints, they've got enough with Social Club. And also, maybe they will be holding it back, because they've found the perfect way to make their somewhat crappy multiplayer flourish.

I think the programming will be already done, it will be linking the developers gamertags which will take time

On another note I'm not sure what the obsession with this is, it's only 10 points and it's not really an achivement killing a dev. Devs usually suck at their own games lol. Okay for the people who have 990 then yeah that's understandable, anyone else, try and get all the other achivements first :)
