Greetings GSL Participants,
The bell shall toll very soon and GSL VI shall begin. Before that day (This Friday, June 6) arrives there are a few important details you need to be aware of... so write them down on Post Its or something.
1). Starting Scores
Just like last year each team, and each member of a team will have a starting score every week. The most important starting score is your first. After then if you are not online for your score to count you are only hurting your team.
In order to get your first starting score you must be online Thursday Night/Friday Morning. I don't care if you are watching a movie, playing a demo, playing an XBLive arcade game, I don't care what it is, you just need to be online (and not just at the dashboard). Not on Xbox.com making it say you were online two minutes ago, or at your dashboard, but actually online playing a game.
For those online you will get an XBLive message from me with your start score and at that time you are free to point whore. Again once you have that XBLive message you are free to point whore. Again the message will say "126109 is your start score, you may begin point whoring now" so don't send me a message back asking if you can start point whoring because I'll say no.
If you are not online Thursday Night/Friday morning don't worry I'll be around all Friday morning/afternoon. When you do get on I'll note your GamerScore and you are then free to begin. And since this would have been your first time online your GamerScore wouldn't have increased anyway right :D. Again not XBLive message no point whoring for you. Yes the league starts Friday, but only if you have a message from me saying it does.
2) Start and Stop Time
The league will start and stop every Sunday at 7p EST, 4p PST, 11p GMT, Midnight London Time, etc... etc...
Every Sunday at 7p I'll take a capture of everyone's XBLive GamerScore. So whatever your GamerScore is at that time, that's your score. Unlike last year this won't be changing. I'm not staying up until midnight (well I will, but not to do scores).
3) Meet the Emperor
Some of you already know Emperor Dracgon... some of you do not... soon you all will. Emperor Dracgon is my son's account that I use for GSL purposes. So everyone will be getting a friend request from him later today/tomorrow. This is not optional. I will not go about looking for your gamertag. I will log into Xbox.com as Emperor Dracgon at 7p on Sunday and print his friends list. Then make print captures of your card. If you are not on his friends list verifying your score will be an issue (for your team).
