I know this won't settle well with a lot of people, especially hardcore zombie fans that play this and say... "HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!11one"

Well, at least they got the shit part right. :?

As far as holy, you do have that demon worshiping altar in the mall with all those people tied up.

Final verdict: Not impressed

I mean... if this game is coming out in a few days, why does Capcom emblazon their demo with a big warning message about how its still being worked on and may contain bugs?

Maybe something they'll fix between now and launch (chuckle) is the horrible graphical clipping. I mean... in the first cutscene of the demo, which if you watch it, is your first impression, look at how many times his shirt collar clips into his neck and vice versa.

I didn't make it that far. Look at the cars on the title screen, specifically that little gem in the lower right edge.

Gameplay is fickle, and historically sturdy weapons, like knives, disappear because they want you to try out different ones so after a couple dozen uses, it "goes away."

How can anybody defend this as being next gen? Oh, that's right... 1000's of zombies on the screen at any given moment.

Whatever. This game is bollocks.

well the graphics next gen or not, are okay but nothing special. The demo was probably made a lot longer ago then 3 days ago so the had to put that because its probably a demo they used before for things ..but i think the game is fun and it makes me laugh hitting zombies with cooking oil while wearing a teddy bear mask. Sure, unrealistic, but so is the fact there are zombies! and i mean the weapons vanishing...if you used a knife over and over again against dead flesh, it can dull! Hangers can break...the hammer has no defense but oh well. They screw up on a few things but i still think its a great game. capcoms finest! my room mate would share your opinion, except he just thinks it looks stupid and repetative. its just supposed to be like dawn of the dead kind of thing. anyways, im looking forward to it, im sure your not alone in your opinion, its a game you gotta really be in the mood for

This is certainly the best game ive played so far on the Xbox 360! There are some bugs there but its an old demo! Ive got to wait even longer here for the game since I live in England but I cant get enough of it.

This thread reeks of fanboyism.

I am not a zombie über fan. I think the whole concept of attacking massive, seemingly endless numbers of retarded but semi-powerful foes is idiotic. I enumerated a number of issues in my first post, and the best answer anybody has given so far is "but but teh demo is teh E3 so itz teh oldness!!!!111one"

I think I'll just wait for this week to end to see how massively you all have owned yourselves. I'm really glad that you have a game you'll be happy with, but personally, I don't see much replayability in this one, even if it was "true next-gen," which I sincerely doubt it will be.

How can we compare this to something most all of us have played. Perhaps we can try the GTA card and see how it works?

It's the same thing as going on a rampage in GTA... sure it's fun, for a while, but it wears thin. Why? Because rampages and the fun they bring doesn't last forever. How long can you go on a rampage in GTA before it stops being fun? An hour? 4 hours? A day?

I just don't see this game getting the same mileage as GTA overall, since the story and missions are somewhat repetitive. GTA is an open world, DR is a closed world. I'd be thoroughly surprised if DR gets more than an 8 out of 10 for rating, especially in longevity.

This game will burn out fast and be forgotten by most. And yes, I will still rent it to see for myself if the demo is worse than the actual game.
