Is it just me? Do i suck at pressing B when grappling?

Anyone else have great difficulties with the grappling? Is there a technique, or do i just plain suck?

This gets harder as you go up in difficulty. What I did was set the controller down and slam down B.

that is the most effecting method imo, i use the same tactic in blue dragon through the button mashing moments

Yeah, i just started back on easy ... and it is just that ...
but formidable ... i'll try the slamming method!

What a relief, I thought it was just me. I couldn't do those button bashing things for shit on Formidable difficulty.

Aaaaah... Blue Dragon. The button-mashing sequences were so annoying and hard in that, I roke down and committed the ultimate gamer sin... I bought a turbo controller... sigh... don't think I've used it for anything since...
