1st of all it says im only 74% complete and i checked last night i am about 83% and its also saying i havn't finished the story yet whats that all about? why make this site if it doesnt work properly?

im in the same boat i got my 100% the 14th of may, but the social club hasnt updated my percentage beyond 61%. also i have completed the story for over a week now and the social club wont let me in the story gang...

i really want my key, i found some picture of it and it looks so sweet.

also the fact that there are only ten keys being handed out, this whas stated in some preview of the socialclub, i think it whas by ign (not sure though). but if i read the contest rules it says that everyone who gets their 100% registered on the socialclub before 19th will get a key.

I emailed them yesterday about my stats not updating and got a very speedy reply..

This is due to the high volume of users our servers are seeing. Data processing may be slow at times but we are working to improve the speed of the service. Please, if you do not see your stats update DO NOT attempt to immediately re-link your account if you have already successfully linked it and it still shows as being linked. Constant re-linking of accounts only slows down the service. Nothing is wrong, be patient and it will update.

man this is crazy.. i have had 100 % for like a week and the site still says 84%... i got that same email reply from rockstar that is posted above but its been 7 days and it cant be that slow my stats on there site went from 92% to 0% to 47% to 84 and then back to 0.. now it is up back at 84 but were do they get these numbers from..

I posted this somewhere before, so I'm copying and pasting it here too.

If you're stats have not updated by the 19th, you will not get the key. Simple reason is because they extended the competition two weeks longer because of problems with the site. The original comp was you had to finish in a week, so the extra couple weeks made sure all those first weekers get it, and a few others might be lucky enough to squeeze in. I would say that anyone that finished after May 14th will probably not get one as it took mine 5 days to update and I finished late at night on May 4th. And this time, there can't be any complaining because no one that finished after the 1st week should have got one anyway originally!

The thing that is bizarre though is once you get into the club, the picture of the key you get shows an engraving of 1 of 100. So maybe they will only give out that many... who knows.

I gave up trying to get a key a few days a go, i have heard so many different rumours about it, "you can only get a key if you registered before you started" and "if you dont finish it a week before the deadline you wont get one". The way some people go off its like they think they are Rockstar developers.

In my opinion its not worth the hassle now, but i congratulate the people who have won a key.

Surely its not about anyone who took longer than a week not getting one originally? Fact is they DID extend the deadline so anyone who gets 100% with 1minute left in the comp has just as much claim to a key as someone who finished it within the first week.

DON'T relink. That's what they say at least. When you relink your wait restarts.
I agree, with a previous poster, if you finish even in the last minute, they should have to give it to you, but the rules do state:
"WINNING ENTRANTS MUST (x) start and complete 100% of the Game during the contest period, (y) have access to the IV 100% CLUB data board on their personal gameplay statistics page by the end of the contest period; and (z) not use any external enhancement or cheating method, such as installing duplicate save games or using third-party software such as the AR MAX or Gameshark. Players may use any enhancement intended to be accessible within the Game, such as unlockable items or codes entered via the controller."
Pay attention to the (y). So they could just not be fixing the site on purpose, or taking their time, so that less people get the key. The fact is, they (R*) projected sales of 600,000 copies in the first week. That's what they sold. They should have had the site prepared and ready to handle that kind of trafic. This has all been in the works for a long time now and anyone that knows anything about servers knows if it was simply a server overload issue it could be fixed in a couple days time. Today is the 18th day the game is out. For this problem not to be fixed is absolutly rediculous. I've had 100% since the 10th and the story complete since the 8th. Still my % varies between 70s and 0 and story shows as not complete. I'm beginning to accept that I wont be getting a key. By the original contest rules I shouldn't get one anyway, but they shouldn't have given hope to those that didn't make it in the first week.
R* really needs to get its act together here before they piss off too many people and people stop buying their games.

The comp includes the PS3, and that doesn't have achievements or any way to validate claims that they got it in time other than they were granted access to the 100% club before the deadline ends. (I think at least, could be wrong, I don't have a PS3) Oh, and also, not everyone plays online with Xbox Live during single player games, and those achievements do not have a time/date stamp beside them, so anyway could "claim" they got in time with that argument, which is why they would never use that method to authenticate 100% completion.

And also, R* sent me an email during that first week, saying that they were having a problem with the site updating because so many people were trying at the same time, and he said that they were going to extend the deadline because of this, to make sure that everyone from the first week that got 100% would get it. (edit: although making it 2 weeks was a surprise, but I guess better safe than sorry on their part)

Finally the site's showing Story Complete. Says I did it on the 9th, not the 8th which is some BS but no big deal. Just something to watch out for with the 100% not showing on the right date for some maybe.
100% club says I'm at 0% still though which is pretty odd seeing as how it sees I completed the story.
Also got an email about ZITs that are supposed to be there but aren't.

If they reset your stats its a good sign IMO because i had the site showing my stats at 97% then next day it was 0% then the next day after that i was allowed into the 100% club area on the site.

It took them 7 full days to let me in after getting 100% ingame.

As for what blindside is saying i tend to agree , only thing that makes me think twice is some guy posted a email he got from rockstar stating that anyone that got 100% regardless of what the social club site says will get a key.

Yesterday, 8 days after hitting 100% I was allowed into the 100% Club. As I said in my previous post, things are timestamped wrong. I can only assume they are going by their time, not the time where the game is played. It shows my Story and 100% as completed a day later than they were, I completed both at night.
Two interesting things... the leader for Time Taken to get 100% did it in 15:07:53 which is an insanly short time to get all that stuff done in.
Also, the leader for Joined did so on the 29th, the day the game came out, but it if you search the Time Taken leaderboard, it took him 100:00:00. This cannot be done in 1 day, (24 hours). So what's the deal? He obviously had to be playing before the release date, or is there something I don't get about it?

The Contest starts at 12:01 AM ET on 4/29/08, and ends 11:59:59 PM ET on 5/19/08. So people should still have time to get it. I'd hope their slow server wouldn't screw any one over. We will find out shortly tho.

All due respect, I'll wait for R* to tell me whether I was out of time a week ago. That would be beyond idiotic, considering the vast number of responses from R* themselves to the contrary. If they were all boilerplate, uniform responses, I might agree with you. But since the responses have been varied in their wording, I think there's some truth to their claims. Add to that the fact that they would be denying hundreds, maybe thousands of customers something they legitmately earned, and those customers sending complaint after complaint to their support staff, and I have no hesitation in saying, yeah, those of us who got 100% in the past week WILL get a key. Period.

Let's wait and see if R* does the right thing. I'm an attorney in real life, and I don't know how effective a class action suit would be against R* over a contest. Not to mention that you'd probably have to sue them wherever they're incorporated, and on and on. I think a concerted email complaint campaign would have more effect, and would definitely cost less. Just my 2 cents...

But really, we all just need to wait and see what happens. If they really screw over this many people, I'll pester the hell out of them every day with emails, phone calls, and letters, and will encourage everyone else to do the same. They think their inbox and servers are full and slow now? Just wait...

I have already emailed rockstar, and luckily took photos and videos to prove my claim [as it states 61% on Social Club]

I am hoping to recieve my key.

(my original message) To whom it may concern: I just got 100% on GTA IV today, May 17th. In the rules it states that you must have access to the 100% club on the website which I do not due to the site being slow from all the traffic.(Great game by the way) It still has me at 41%. Well when I signed up to the Social Club after getting 100%, it was only showing 83% complete.

Then I checked it yesterday as it was the last day and it was 93% in the morning, then 97% in the afternoon. I've checked today....and it's 0%.

WTF???

I hope Rockstar do check everything and send out the gift to everyone who did complete 100% before the finish date. Somehow I don't think it will happen and may people will be complaining!

Luckily we can all prove when we got the keys to the city thanks to Xbox Live logging the exact date you got the achievement!

Yeah, mine is still frozen at 68%, but my marathon stats are updating every couple of hours or so. So freaking frustrating. I feel confident in saying that R* will make this right, since it's their slow, clunky servers that are causing the problem. Bungie went through this right after Halo 3 came out, but I never had to wait more than 24 hours for my stats to update. Maybe R* needs to pick Bungie's collective brain a little as far as the Social Club interface is concerned...
