100 Souls Advice

Hi im a noob but i thought i would let you know a couple of things about the 100 souls achievements.....

Now there are two main levels for soul collecting, the port royal level where you have two opportunities. first at the tavern and secondly at the end of the level where many shrunken heads are. The other popular level is Isla Cruces at the end of the level where alot of enemies are on the beach.

what i done to get the achievement was starting all over after i completed the game and i got 49 souls on port royal alone and the rest on isla cruces.
BEWARE though because on my first attempt on islas cruces i got 13 souls away from the achievement and the game froze, the reason being because the game just couldnt handle any more weapons, the sea was crammed with flintlocks,healths and grenades. when i was on the level i thought clearing grenades would prevent freezes but it does the opposite because when you kill 2+ enemies it has to load the weapons they drop.

so all im telling is save very frequently, dont throw grenades and be carefull when u activate your jackanism sword (the amount of times i done it on a grenade with 30+ souls is unreal!!)

I did them all on Port Royal at the end. That way you do not have to wory about any other level. Pretty easy just took about 5 or 6 hours which was time consuming to say the least.

So, you can save after every few souls you collect?

another tip on the first stage is to collect one skull, activate it right at the enemy door only killing 2 of the 8 guards that come out with jack's burst, then you can slash the next 6. repeat this on the next two doors and you can leave the level with 18 kills. i was releasing my jackanism far away form the door so i wouldn't kill any guys and i would only get 3 or 4 souls each enemy door.

I kept track of the skulls I collected through the levels and finished up at the end of Isla Cruces - had the game freeze on me near the end of collecting my skulls and another time died from a grenade going off after a Jackanism release (stupid on my part). Finally finished, but man did that suck.

Just make sure you clear out as many objects as possible on the beach so you don't overload the processor and cause a freeze.
