How can i check on my percentage of friendship with other characters...

Most probably because you haven't met them yet.

Either that, or you're not scrolling down! :p

(Go to "Stats", press (A) and then use the (RS) to scroll down).

Dude.. Press start, then go on to stats and on teh general tab. Scroll down with the right thumbstick !! Hope it helps

Took me a while too to figure out you could scroll down the stats with the thumbstick. :p

Also it doesn't help that the stats are found in two different places. The stats for your buddies are in the General section, and the stats for girlfriends are in the Player section.
