This movie was very, very well done. I liked how they put all these foreshadowing for things to come. The ending was alright in my opinion. If you watched the movie till after the credits, i think you might like it more..but can't please everyone. Are you guys comic readers & know alot about Ironman, or just general movie goers?

Yeah. I agree with you. I am a general superhero movie lover. I played Marvel Ultimate Alliance and never read any comics. Thought it was amazing.

After the credits:

Samuel Jackson = TOO OLD FOR NICK FURY!!!!
From MUA Nick Fury didnt wear clothes like the Matrix dude.
S. Jackson needs to go back to Star Wars. He was to old for Jumper and way to old for Nick Fury.

I'm a comic book geek, of course I loved the movie. Thought it was one of the greatest comic book movies made, and one of the most faithful. Downey Jr. was perfect in his role. The rest of the cast was also superb.

The end of the movie, after the credits, made me want to play Marvel: Ultimate Alliance again. Instead I bought the Iron Man game. I loved the demo, but the actual game is.....meh. When I beat it, I'll probably sell it.

I agree about the foreshadowing thing. The people that kidnapped Stark called themselves the Ten Rings. Plus, it constantly showed Raza touching his ring. Mandarin, anyone? Hopefully he'll be the villain in the next movie.

loved the movie aswell, liked it when jim rhodes looked at the suit in the garage and said: "maybe next time" so we might see him as war machine in the next movie, would be sweet. loved the other references aswell like shield and such.
overall very nice movie with a bunch of action and humour in it

I don't like it when people make movies to set up for a sequel, which it felt like this one was doing. It wasn't bad but it wasn't excellent. When they make a sequel hopefully it will be more action than acting, but I don't think the bald bloke will be the Mandarin but one of his lackeys instead.

I searched around some and they are really thinking about Mandarin as the next enemy.

I didn't say the Mandarain wouldn't be in a future film, someone said that there was a guy in the Ten Rings that kept touching his ring and might be the Mandarin but doesn't... Obadiah kill him?

It might be like that animated Iron Man film where there is a random following that try to ressurrect him. Which would be the Ten Rings.

First off, this movie was simply amazing and anyone who says different is clearly wrong. :p

Second, Seng... the thing after the credits, they are basing that character off the Ultimate line of books, not the normal Marvel U, hence why he's black. I think it's a good move since he's the guy they modeled it after for the comics, so might as well use him in the movies.

Third, Mandarin will most definitely be the next villain. Way too much foreshadowing to not have it. But, I think the next movie will also be way more geared toward action with the origin out of the way. I think we'll definitely see War Machine, and they've also announced they're going to debut Thor in the next one since his solo movie is slated to release a few months after Iron Man 2!

Lesson over. :)

I wasn't saying that he was going to become possessed by the Mandarin, just that he had one of the rings, and it kept showing a close up of it. We never saw him get killed, though, just that it was implied.

I can almost guarantee that the Mandarin will be the next villain. As The Pants Party said, too much foreshadowing for it not to be.

EDIT: I just reread what I said, and I could see how you could construe it into thinking I meant Raza was going to become the Mandarin.

Ok the movie pwned. And it's impossible not for it to be Mandarin. But I thought they were just going to make an Avenger movie. But can't wait for war machine.

Ist off...
Its always hard to start off a new Superhero film..
Mainly because they have to do alot of character building and explaining how and why they got there powers..
So that takes up alot of the time... and eats into the action time..

I love nearly all the Marvel/DC superhero films apart from the terrible Daredevil, Catwoman and Electra..
Oh and the terribly childish Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Im glad that with Batman Begins they got it back on track

As for the IRONMAN film... i loved it..
Robert Downey Jnr was perfect as Tony and Jeff Bridges was brilliant...

IRONMAN has always been one of my faves and i was realy looking forward to the film.. but i didnt want to get my hopes up too high just incase it was terrible..
But it was probably the best opening superhero film maybe even better than Spiderman 1

The game is not that fun. Very tedious and annoying. I thought video games were supposed to be fun. What the hell happened with this one?

I'm pretty certain that IRON MAN has been the best comic book movie adaptation I've seen yet. Generally the transfer from paper to film just doesn't go well at all. There are some exceptions such as X-Men and maybe The Punisher but I've been mostly unhappy with how Hollywood has ruined my outlook on what a comic book movie can be. IRON MAN fully restores that though as it was an incredibly well made film. I will be seeing it once or twice more before it leaves theaters.

What you on about?! In the X-Men films they totaly messed with the characters..
Since when does Rouge go out with Iceman? They totaly Mixed Rouge's character with Jubilee's.. Plus the 3rd X-men film was just stupid..
The Punisher is ok.. i wouldnt put it up there with Spiderman 2 and IRONMAN though

Spiderman - is awesome
Spiderman 2 - is even more awesome
Spiderman 3 - is very cheesey but great
HULK - is slow but very enjoyable
X-MEN - Is great
X-MEN 2 - Is awsome
X-MEN 3 - let the side down
Fantastic 4 1/2 - Average, enjoyable but not as good as they should be
Sin City - is awesome. Probably one of the best
Blade1/2/3 - were all pretty good
Hellboy - is also pretty good
Batman 1/2 and Begins - all awesome films

I agree but Spiderman 3 sucked and ruined the series. Xmen 3 to me was the best Xmen film. Hulk was terrible.

WHAT?! X-MEN 3 was terrible!
Why they hell didnt they just use the Kid that neutralised mutants powers to stop The Pheonix?!
And how come everyone of the "bad" mutants could do massive jumps of the bridge?! it was laughable
And the Juggernaught was the worst superhero/villain ever.. Who the hell cast Vinny Jones?!
And why show Angel in all the promo add's? and only have him in the film for about 3 mins?

The film was a big mess and ruined the good grounds that 2 and 3 laid down

Iron Man was a great movie. I've been following the comic off and on (mostly on) for almost, cripes, 20 years and I was happy. My friend came with me to restrain me from possibly having to go to Jon Favreau's house and dismembering him if it was Hulk or Daredevil bad. But it wasn't.

I have my own ideas (like everyone else) on where this trilogy should go. I'll be happy if they don't go the routes that I would say would be best but then again, if they do, it's like a golden ticket for movie money!

I have to go with my friend to see Hulk in a few months to see if they can make up for Ang Lee's, ahem, film.

Anyway, yeah, it was a great movie.

They weren't even planning a sequel until they saw how well it was doing after release. The movie was excellent. Very refreshing after so many shitty movies coming to the cinema.

This movie was amazing. The only problem I had with it is there could have been more fighting, but I'm sure that's to come in the second one. Definitely looking forward to seeing it.
