Does mission select allow u to pick diff after beating?

Someone on the xbox.com boards is saying that you can pick diffs using mission select after beating the game. Not just do the missions on whatever current setting, but change it to hard and whatnot.

Can anyone confirm or debunk that?

You can not select difficulty for individual missions.
