I just remembered about the key reward for 100% and would really like to get it. I'm currently 40.82% and I was wondering if I would be able to get it by tomorrow nights deadline. Do you guys think I should attempt it?

if you started now MAYBE. i'm not sure but you'd prolly have to really sit and do everything with flawless speed. took me 60 hours to get 100% but thats with a extra day of confusion stuck at 98.75%.

unless you have no job and no classes tomorrow, that seems far off for you (and me too). There are certain things that only count for little percentages. I dunno what it was for him but one example is completing every type of activity with Dwayne, Roman, Jacob etc. At 98% something like that may not come to mind immediately.
There are other challenges on the Rockstar sight that do not offer a cool key, but do look doable. The Marathon may get a prize later on

the 1.25% i was stuck on in the end comes from playing the QUB3D game. you have to get the beat the high score achievement for 1.25% completion points. it doesnt state that in the brady guide which threw me and a few other people off big time.

I finished the story at around 23 hours. I'm now on my 41th hour and still have 150 flying rats to collect,all the most wanted, 9 races to complete, and finding the 14 random people before 100%

Stevie's txt msg cars, flying rat collection, stunt jumps all take rediculous amounts of time to complete so i dont see you being able to do all that stuff in a day. But hell mabey i'm just slow

rockstar social club is doing a contest which started the day GTA4 came out and it ends at 11:59pm tomorrow night. if you 100% the game within that weeks time rockstar is sending you a actual " key to the city ". theres a picture of the case and details on the social club site.

Rockstar are giving away a real key to Liberty City to everyone who gets 100% in the first week of the game's release.

*sigh* Yah, it's not looking to good with time crunching down. I have to practice a stupid speech tomorrow and I have to go to bed at 10 so I don't have much time for it. Well then, do you guys think someone would happen to sell one of those keys on Ebay? I could have easily gotten it but:
1. I forgot about it until earlier today
2. I had track practice and meets that really slowed me down
3. School...'nuff said

So then, I just read up on that Marathon stuff, do you guys really think R* would hold another event similar to this? Maybe even something for when DLC comes out?

I'm pretty sure it's US residents only. I checked the rules and there are about 5 US states excluded and SEVERAL places, I think the UK too that won't have the contest.

Edit: Nevermind, I just read the above post and though all of those were EXCLUDED besides the US.

under the details for the contest the key is valued at $25 USD. i'm betting though nobody is gonna wanna sell it though ;P they will be limited and probably a personal collectors item for most.

Ooh, thanks Wild Dog. As much as I want that key, I don't want to fly by the game and I don't even think I can fly by it. I'll just wait. There's gotta be some people who are getting the key just to sell and make nice profits. I would pay 100+ for an un-opened version of the key.

Atleast the pressure for 30 hours achievement is gone. I've been flying through missions almost never failing anymore now that I really have the feeling for this game. Only about 25 more missions to go with about 14 hours logged in. =P

wow im at 83.33% i been playing all week long and after reading this thread i just now found out that i cant enter the contest because i live in one of the states that are not eligible for the contest all that time wasted :mad:
