boat to slow to catch up to helicopter **SPOILER**

I am on the final mission and I make it to the boat to chase Damitri in the helicopter, however when jacob comes down to pick me up i can't get to the location in time before he takes back off. I have done this mission multiple times and the same result. i never let off the accelerator and am right on top of damitri everytime, but they pull ahead to get jacob in and i fail the mission cause i can't get to that location to get picked up. what am i doing wrong?

Just keep at it i had the same problem the only way i noticed anythink was to go around corners as tight as possible dont take them wide.

When you are in the boat pull the left thumbstick back, and hold it there while holding the accelerator down. you go faster and can get to Jacob, just tried something different and it worked, don't know if it was a random thing, or it was because i was holding the left thumbstick (which you steer with) back instead of forward. hope it helps anyone else that is stuck, let me know too!!

you dont have to fly the helicopter low at all. just keep on the throttle and hover above (way above) damitri and when you get to a set location it will go to a cut scene. also, you may want to make sure you have full health and a good bit of armor as the police feel extra need to be mean to you for no reason

Savagebasher, you might want to read the full post before responding. He is not even at the helicopter portion yet. He needs to get to the helicopter before he can fly it and get to that cutscene =) anyway, if you are still having trouble then just speed full ahead and don't use any brake the whole way. I never pushed down on the control stick or any of that...I just hit the acceleration and made it fine. Good luck to you.

savagebasher, thanks for the future reference i read it and got lucky and i followed your advice and just hover FAR FAR above Demitri and had no troubles, so thank you much, i would have ended myself if i crashed the helicopter again!!!
