No missions glitch?*May Contain Spoilers*

For some odd reason I cannot receive anymore missions. No one seems to be calling me and there are no missions pics on my map.

A list of what percents of missions completed: Roman:66.67%, Vlad:100%, Jacob:100%, Faustin-100%, Manny-100%, Elzabeta-100%, Dwayne-100%, Brucie-100%, Playboy-100%, Francis-66.67%, ULPC-100%, Packie-100%, Gerry-40%, Derick, 33.33%.

I tried calling everyone, I checked to make sure it wasn't sleep mode and I have run out of ideas, any help? The last mission I did was "Lure" and I got hit by a car when I called Francis and never heard the conversation.

Unfortunately this did not work. This is a pretty cruddy game if it glitched the missions up on me.

I don't know anyone else it has just stopped giving missions to. Even the people who skipped all cutscenes/dialog. I can't imagine Rockstar would put out something that buggy. It takes a while sometimes.

I've had periods where you have to wait a few days for a mission, so my advice, be patient, take someone out on a date, stock up on ammo, a mission will turn up very soon.

Actually, after looking through your missions... Where are the Mafia dudes? They should be on there by now... Ray (Chinatown), Pelegrino (Alderney mansion, far north), Phil Bell (Alderney docks)...

How do you meet them maybe I can figure it out?

Well... In all honesty... I can't remember exactly where and how I met them.

Ray is the first person you meet though and I think you meet Pelegrino and Phil Bell through him.

I believe you meet Ray through Brucie somehow...don't take my word for it tho. That's just what i think

I am experiencing the same problem. There are no icons on my map, I have no new email, nobody is calling me, I've reloaded from a previous save and tried going through again. I've loaded from my safehouse, it's been at least 3 hours irl since my last mission. My completion stats are as followed.

Game progress 58.48%, missions passed 76.
Roman - 73.33%
Vlad - 100%
Jacob - 100%
Faustin 100%
Manny 100%
Eliabeta 100%
Dwayne 100%

Memnoch.... Where are your Derrick missions? :eek:

Doing the 3 Derrick missions will unlock Francis last one which then finishes off Gambetti's as far as I'm aware.

Thanks, Derrick wasn't on my radar so I found out where he was supposed to be and I went there and there was the marker.

Now that Memmoch says this it also happened to me after **SPOILER WARNING**

i killed playboy X, i was talking to Dwayne he told me that he was giving me X's house and that we should hang out since he didn't have any friends. But i got killed by a cop car as soon as the conversation finished. When i got out of the hospital there was no sign of Dwayne i tried to call him but all i got was his voice mail. so i reloaded the game using the autosave i got after killing X and then i never had the conversation with Dwayne, all i got was a message saying that X's house could be used a safehouse from now on. Since then i've played the story untill the point i get the impossible trinity achievement, also i already did the bank job with packie and I'm still not able to speak to Dwayne, can anyone tell me if this is normal or did i screwed up my game. I have a couple of friend that have the same kind of problem with Dwayne but they are not as far in the story as I am.

Can anyone help me plzzzzz, just tell how much time did it took for Dwayne to contact you or what do i have to do, I already tried to go to the place he was when you were getting missions from him (the place in map that has like 3 Xs) and he is not there i can enter the building but i don't find anybody.

Again plz HELP!!!

Read from another forum that if you get interrupted (die, for example) while receiving an important phonecall relating to a mission, you "may" not receive the call again, thus glitching your game altogether since missions that appear after that interrupted mission will not turn up.

Are you sure you phone isn't on Sleep Mode. If the phone is on sleep mode you don't get any calls for new missions and etc. Check your phone options to make sure it's off though it would have to say it's 'ON' inorder for it to be 'OFF'

shazbo, my phone is ok i'm just not able to speak to him and ask him to hang out to start leveling up his "like", and neeker75 (http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/member.php?u=11159) can you tell me where (which forum or thread) did you read that about getting interrupted (die) in during a conversation and glitching your game. As i said before some of my buddies did not die after killing X and they aren't able to hang out with Dwayne either.

In order to start hanging out with Dwayne. You have to check your emails, there should be one from Dwayne. If you reply with positive then you can start hanging with him. But you have to wait for him to call.

So he should call sometime asking to do something. (Thats how it happened for me)

I had something like this happen to me. I was doing the mission for Vlad where he tells you to kill that guy that ends up hanging from the roof and you choose to either help him or let him fall to his death, I actually shot him to death before he got up to the roof and I think it bugged my game because I went for 2 hours without any missions or markers. I reloaded one of my old saves and re-did that mission and completed it normally and the missions came immediately after that.

this game sucks now the same stuff happened again after taking out one of the 2 McReary brothers i killed the cop, and when i was in the middle of the conversation about the funeral a bum pushed me and it got cut off now i can't do that shit i waited for like three days and nothing reloaded the autosave and nothing, this is really starting to annoy me

For anyone still receiving these errors, here's the response i got from rockstar support:

Some Xbox 360 games load data into the Hard Drive’s cache, which can become fragmented over time, which may affect the gameplay. Clearing the cache may be beneficial in these instances. In order to do this please follow the these steps:

- Go the “System” blade on the Xbox 360 main menu.
- Select Memory.
- Highlight the Hard Drive, then press Y to view the device options screen.
- On the Xbox 360 controller, press X twice, then the left bumper, then the right bumper, the then X button twice again.
- You will be prompted to confirm system maintenance. Select Yes by pressing A.

This will clear the system cache and defragment the fragmented data. Be advised that this will also delete any Microsoft Updates for your games (not downloadable content), however these will be downloaded automatically the next time you play these games while connected to Xbox Live.
