Complete all missions on Formidable difficulty
Complete every mission on the hardest difficulty. All the other achievements will unlock. The difficulty feels like a normal for every other game until you get to level 5 or 6 then it is difficult. Make sure to upgrade your core systems so you get more health, it is needed the most. That is needed more than anything.

Destroy stockpiled Stark weapons in the Escape mission
This is almost scripted. The guy in your ear will tell you about these and tell you not to risk your life. Do it anyways and blow these up. Just follow your map to the points to blow them up. This is an introduction to the 'hero objectives'.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/+EA8pA==.jpgCity Protector (25 points)
Destroy drones without civilian damage in the First Flight mission
The drones are yellow and come off of the ‘boss’. If they get close to the ground and shoot, then it is to late. You must take them all out before they fire off one shot towards a civilian. So the second they come off you better take them down. They need to be killed the second they come off or it is to late. Best done on easy.

Avoid civilian casualties in the Flying Fortress mission
To start off with while in the cutscene hold down LB. That way you are flying the second it is over with. Then press A for a boost and hold it down. Switch to thrusters to make yourself go even faster. Now when you here about the gunfire let go of A and steadily tap it to dodge. This will keep you out of harms way. Now once you get up to the fortress switch to Weapons and follow the below.
First, you have to destroy 10 anti-aircraft defense turrets, except these shoot lasers. They are easiest to take out by actually landing on the surface of the fortress, since while you're in the air you're constantly knocked backward.
Head to either the left or right of the Fortress and land first on the bottom wing and take out the first two lasers. Then head to the upper wing and take out both lasers there. Start heading across to the other side, taking out any copters or regular turrets you run into. Look closely near the base of the wing, where it attaches to the main part of the fortress and you'll notice helipads that the copters are flying out of. Destroy this, and hover jump your way to the top of the main section, where you'll find two more lasers. After they're destroyed, you'll find the second and final helipad on the exact opposite side of the Fortress. Once it's destroyed, take out the rest of the copters and use the same method you used on the other wing to take out the four remaining lasers.
Once you've destroyed the lasers, you'll be told to destroy some hangars. These are located on the back side of the Fortress, on each of the wings. You'll notice hangar bays that jet fighters are flying out of. When the doors are open, land on the surface and shoot at the orange target with your repulsors. They only take one shot. There are two on each wing, so just fly to the other side and wait for the doors to open again to punch them out.
For the next step, you have to blow up four Cooling Elements. These are located on the bottom side of the upper wing on each side of the Fortress. Attack them from the rear, and use the same method of landing on the surface of the lower wing to easily take them out.
Next up, you'll need to high tail it to the front of the Fortress where a door will open up on the front of the main section, directly in the middle of the Fortress. Just be careful of flying into the engines. Inside, land and take out any defense turrets, then just destroy the Cooling Reactors with your repulsors, missiles (Y button) and your unibeam (Right Bumper.)
Once those are destroyed, you'll have to destroy the main reactor. At this point, if you've followed my instructions, you should have at least 2 - 3 minutes left. Fly to the top side of the Fortress (where you'll be looking down upon it) and a new section will be opened up. Land inside and use the reactor as a shield from the enemies. Keep hitting it with missiles and unibeam shots until it blows and then the mission ends and the achievement unlocks.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPiw1zs=.jpgTatyana, Interrupted (25 points)
Protect the nuclear facility in the Arctic Battle mission
Tatyana is in fact a huge laser beam and you have to snuff the witch out before "she" destroys the nuclear facility. After you've reached the point in the mission where you've destroyed the third power core that charges up Tatyana, you'll be given a full minute to destroy "her". For that reason, make sure to destroy the power core closest to the laser cannon last! Once it's down, fly straight towards Tatyana, land behind "her", so you can use "her" as a shield and just keep firing off missiles and unibeam shots as quickly as possible until "she" blows up. This should take no longer than 30 of your seconds so if the helicopters start to attack you take them out before taking "her" out.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPhlCw8=.jpgNot a Scratch (25 points)
Avoid harming the destroyer and its crew in the Lost Destroyer mission
The Destroyer will be sitting in a wide-open area in the middle of a frozen lake. You'll be able to easily tell it apart from the enemies, because it will target yellow on your weapons system. Look for the Controller Device located near the middle of the Destroyer ship and take it out, but make sure not to fire any errant shots at the yellow targets. If you do, restart the mission.
Then, after you have cleared out all of the bases, you'll have to fight the submarine boss, which is actually quite easy if you follow this method. It will constantly appear to the left and right of the Destroyer Ship, so stay in hover and keep your distance, aim your reticle over the sub's main target (orange) and wait for the missiles to start flying your way. When they do, tap B and send them flying back. You can grab and toss back every single missile launched at you, but there is a specific rhythm and timing to the button presses. If you miss a few, you should be fine if you recover quickly enough, but if you start to run low on health, begin dodging until it submerges again. Keep moving from the left side to the right side, hitting it with its own missiles, until it goes under for good.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPxYBII=.jpgPower Saver (25 points)
Avoid disrupting the city's power supply in the On Defense mission
This mission starts with you standing directly in front of Titanium Man. Do your best to dodge and attack when possible. Sooner or later, he'll retreat towards a power generator and restore some of his health. Jarvis will inform you that destroying the generators will make Titanium Man an easier fight, but if you do that, you can't unlock this achievement. Do your best to wear away at as much of his health as possible, in between his recharges, and just be diligent. His health will run after a while.
Equip the guided missiles and unload with Y and RT on Titanium Man. He should be almost dead by the first charge. After that keep attack him with those and it wont even matter. This is the whole mission here so just if you die who cares get up and attack some more.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UP0SPMI=.jpgShocking! (25 points)
Protect outlying occupied buildings in the Save Pepper mission
This is how I did it on Normal. This mission will start off showing you a huge reactor and 4 tesla coils. When you start wait where you are for 2 seconds. Then fly straight through the tesla coil ahead of you. This will kill all surrounding enemies by the reactor. Now the reactor will be offline. So during this time fly around and kill enemies attacking tesla coils. If the tesla coil gets to yellow fly there fast and take out all enemies. Now it should say reactor stabilized. Fly through a tesla coil again to take out all enemies. Now rockets should be flying towards the reactor. Aim near the rockets and fire. Take out as many as you can. Now keep repeating the above.
After awhile into the mission you will hear Jarvis talk about drop ships. Take them out and then go back to saving the tesla coils. Just keep taking out enemies, going through the tesla coils, and taking out the rockets. Jarvis will then state that multiple drop ships are coming in. By this time to pass the mission easily the reactor damage should be at 50% or less. Try to take out the drop ships but worry more about the incoming rockets. Now just take out the rockets and enemies.
Jarvis will later state that the enemies are retreating. So high tail it up to the top of the reactor and wait for the missiles. Look on your radar. Wherever there is a big bunch of red, those are missile packs, and go to them first. Just keep turning around and firing at the missiles. Do this and the mission is passed.
This mission is easier then it looks if you follow the above. I passed it on my first try with no problems. I did not have everything unlocked but had all upgrades up possible (except the shoes).
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UP24-BE=.jpgProton Shut Out (25 points)
Prevent cannon attacks on civilian targets in the Island Meltdown mission
When the Island Meltdown mission begins, you're given four power couplings to destroy. Start with the closest, and then work your way counter-clockwise. The initial power coupling will restore before you have a chance to take all out four, so as soon as you take down the fourth, head back to the first coupling while keeping your distance from the middle island.
Once all of them are destroyed, head towards the center island and as soon as you're able to attack the large cannon, hover on the outskirt of the center island and position yourself to where you're just high enough to peek over the edge of the surface. You're able to stay mostly out of harm's way, and you can still target the cannon (the yellow target.) You'll occasionally be attacked by some AIM gunships or flying soldiers, so take them out as they appear, but stay hovering where mentioned and hitting the cannon with repulsor fire, missiles and the occasional unibeam. If you're quick enough about laying on the damage, you can end the mission, destroy the cannon and earn the achievement before the cannon gets a shot off.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/+NnFaw==.jpgEscape Velocity (25 points)
Sever the tether before the satellite overloads in the Space Tether mission
This achievement is rather easy, although the mission itself is not. Work your way through the canyon, but make sure to fly slightly northwest from the start and enter the canyon by foot. Slowly work your way around, mostly focusing on missile turrets, as they do the most damage. Take out the four targets located underneath the cone-shaped devices. Once they're destroyed, circle around the tether, located in the center of the canyon, taking out the orange targets. After you blow up the last one, you'll have a few minutes to take out 8 yellow targets located near the top of the tether. Don't even worry about enemies, just circle and fire.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPp3O6Y=.jpgYou're Fired! (25 points)
Destroy power regulators in the Iron Monger mission
This achievement is unlocked finishing a required objective. The mission starts with you fighting Stane in the Iron Monger suit. You have to fully deplete his health bar 5 times before you're able to finish him off, so just take your time and use buildings for cover. Only peek out from behind the cover of a building long enough to take a few shots and launch off a missile attack. Finally, after you've worn him down, Jarvis will tell you to grapple him. If you've been careful enough and have at least 2 of your back-ups (or lives) left, you can easily accomplish this by rushing directly at him until he drops you once, and then you should be close enough to jump right up and put him in a grapple, by holding B, without taking any more damage. You have to tap the B button during the grapple to tear off his guidance systems.
After he flies off, head to the tower located on your radar as a blue star-shaped dot. Four consoles on top of the building will become destroyable targets as soon as the enemies start to show up. It's easiest to just ignore them, circle the top of the building and wipe out the consoles as fast as possible. Achievement unlocked, game completed. Sit back and watch the ending cinematic and wait for the extra points to tally up for finishing the game also.

Destroy all dropships before the Stark Gunship is stolen in the First Flight mission
This is pretty simple. Make sure to take out every dropship before the huge helicopter shows up. Fly fast around the map blowing up the dropships. Should only take one try. When you can start to fire, do so. Just use the RT. That should be all you need. If they start to get away use Y to throw the grenades. I replayed this and tried my best to fail killing all the dropships before the Stark Gunship shows up. I would kill one, let them drop off people and let them leave, rinse and repeat. Still after doing all of this the Stark Gunship still didn't show up before they were all blown up.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPzyxFE=.jpgRoad King (15 points)
Destroy all convoy vehicles in less than 2 minutes in the Stark Weapons mission
This is really simple. If there are two convoys, shoot the one in front and the one behind it will blow up. If there is three convoys shoot the middle one and they all blow up. By doing this you save a lot of time. If you are still running low on time then boost with the A button while flying to go even faster.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPljFrQ=.jpgLaunch Aborted (15 points)
Destroy all Prometheus missiles within 10 minutes in the Maggia Compound mission
There are three missile silos total in this mission. When the next one shows up fly over fast and blow it up. Try using melee instead of weapons. It will take the missile out alot faster. 10 minutes is a pretty long time so take your time, sort of. Make sure you do not die to much flying over and take out enemies in your way. While at the first one take out the truck not the missile to grab another achievement and save time. You should finish this within 4-5 minutes.
Collateral Damage (15 points)
Destroy a Prometheus missile by destroying a fuel truck in the Maggia Compound mission
When you start off go shoot around until Jarvis tells you to take out the missile. Now once you know that place restart the mission. Now head straight there and there should be a fuel truck. Shoot the fuel truck. And boom achievement unlocked.
Personnel Vendetta (15 points)
Defeat 20 soldiers in the Arctic Battle mission
Kill twenty of the guys on Arctic Battle. The ships do not count. The men usually come in packs of three. These are not special people just regular enemies. The blue dots on the map are them.
Overkill (15 points)
Defeat a soldier using the Unibeam
This can be done on First Flight. Kill all the enemies but one guy then land and charge an unibeam by holding down RB. Then unleash it on an enemy. Does not have to be full power just needs to be held down for at least a second. Make sure to aim straight at the enemy and be locked on before releasing.
Smack down (15 points)
Defeat Titanium Man before his second recharge in the On Defense mission
You can easily pick this achievement up along with Power Saver if you have your repulsors and your suits auxiliary weapons upgraded to the max, with Advanced Vespid Missiles. After he recharges the first time just lay into him with everything you've got and he should go down before he even heads in the direction of the next generator.
Impenetrable (15 points)
Complete a mission (other than Escape or First Flight) without an armor breach
Complete a mission without ever hitting 0 power on your suit. This is really easy on Stark Weapons. Just hide behind rocks when it gets low. My method was to go around to the right one first then follow the path. This makes it very simple. Blow up everything then take out the weapons.
An Object in Motion (15 points)
Destroy any target using a ramming attack
Shoot any object until it get low in health. For this description we are using a tank. Now once the tank is really low in health fly parallel to the ground and go straight towards it. Make sure to press A down once you get started on your flypath. If Iron Man leans his right arm back then it is a ram. If he doesn't bring his arm back then keep doing it until you get the achievement.
Grounded (15 points)
Successfully grapple and throw a plane
Fly up to a US plane in Stark Weapons and press B. Hold on to the back of the plane then press B again. The plane will go flying and you will unlock this achievement.
Your Own Medicine (15 points)
Damage or destroy another enemy while grappling a SAM launcher.
These can also be found as early as the Maggia Factories mission. They're easy to spot. They look like turrets, but are oblong and fire off groups of missiles. You use the same method as with the Howitzer. Land on the ground, grapple, aim and shoot.
Long Shot (15 points)
Damage or destroy another enemy while grappling a howitzer.
This can be accomplished as early as the Maggia Factories mission. Locate a Howitzer on the ground near any of the base structures, land on the ground and grapple it by holding B. You're then able to aim the tank's cannon and fire off a shot before it's destroyed. While you have it grappled, just make sure to aim at another enemy and then pull the right trigger.

Defeat Iron Monger using the Silver Centurion armor
When fighting Iron Monger use the Silver Centurion armor. Achievement unlocked. More info soon.
Pugilist (15 points)
Complete any mission (other than Escape) without using weapons systems
When playing through a mission never press the RT and Y buttons at all. Just melee, grapple, and counter with their own missles.
Eject! (25 points)
Spare the US fighter pilots in the Stark Weapons mission
When going against the fighter pilots never fire at them with your weapons. Only use the grapple and throw move by pressing B.
Guardian (25 points)
Protect warehouse workers in the Maggia Factories mission
When you get to where you have to destroy the reinforcements head over to the 4 blue dots. Those are the warehouses. Now tanks and vehicles will be coming into attack the warehouses, destroy all of them. Now head off to destroy one of the factories. Come back and more reinforcements should be coming towards the warehouses. Repeat this until all factories are destroyed and the warehouses are safe. Achievement Unlocked.

thank you. but for some reason, i cannot get:
Collateral Damage (15 points)
Destroy a Prometheus missile by destroying a fuel truck in the Maggia Compound mission
Destroy one of the missiles by shooting a fuel truck. Make sure you have not shot the
missile at all before shooting the fuel tank.
i have tried like 5 times, i go around and blow up all the fuel tanks, but i dont get it :/
edit: "The difficulty feels like a normal for every other game."
thats exactly what i thought, but have you gotten to level 5 yet? i had to quit and start on easy, and i still had trouble beating it in some parts. :( haha

This game starts off easy, and then starts to become ridiculous. Mostly because your health meter becomes very fragile and the enemies just get stronger. Especially when you start fighting bosses. They're really frustrating, and if you die while fighting them, you have to start the entire mission over. Some of the later missions, each run will take about 15 - 20 minutes or longer.
EDIT: To the poster right before me, you have to hit a truck and not a fuel tank. Once the mission starts, head straight towards the first, and closest, silo and you'll notice a fuel truck parked next to it, fueling the missile. Lock onto it with your targeting reticle and just hit it with a quick unibeam blast before it drives away. Achievement Unlocked.
Thanks mate, gonna rent this soon.

Here's some helpful suggestions:
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPmF85w=.jpg An Object in Motion 15G - Destroy any target using a ramming attack
This is easy to achieve going after helicopters. Target a helicopter and shoot it with your repulsors until its health is almost completely drained. Then, fly directly at it while using boost (by pressing A), and you will ram the copter and destroy it for 15 points.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPiD7ic=.jpg Long Shot 15G - Damage or destroy another enemy while grappling a howitzer
This can be accomplished as early as the Maggia Factories mission. Locate a Howitzer on the ground near any of the base structures, land on the ground and grapple it by holding B. You're then able to aim the tank's cannon and fire off a shot before it's destroyed. While you have it grappled, just make sure to aim at another enemy and then pull the right trigger.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPuXwzU=.jpg Your Own Medicine 15G - Damage or destroy another enemy while grappling a SAM launcher
These can also be found as early as the Maggia Factories mission. They're easy to spot. They look like turrets, but are oblong and fire off groups of missiles. You use the same method as with the Howitzer. Land on the ground, grapple, aim and shoot.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/+4HNgg==.jpg Collateral Damage 15G - Destroy a Prometheus missile by destroying a fuel truck in the Maggia Compound mission
I recommend starting the mission and playing it long enough until you're familiar with where the first missile silo is located. Then, retry the mission, head straight to the silo from the start, target the fuel truck that sits next to it (targets as blue) and then hit it with a quick one-shot kill unibeam before it has a chance to drive away.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/+KbZjA==.jpg Decommisioner 25G - Destroy all Prometheus missiles in the Maggia Compound mission
There are three missile silos, in total. The first one you can destroy easily by hitting the fueling truck that sits next to it with a unibeam shot, and also pick up the Collateral Damage achievement in the process. For the second and third missile silos, as soon as their location shows up on the screen (in yellow), fly straight there and use boost (by pressing A.) The easiest and quickest way to take them out is to land on foot, stand on a side of the silo where it will shield you from enemy attacks and just lay into it with melee attacks. They'll blow up after about 9 or 10 strikes. If the missiles make it out of the silo, they're extremely hard to take down.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPljFrQ=.jpg Launch Aborted 15G - Destroy all Prometheus missiles within 10 minutes in the Maggia Compound mission
This can easily be accomplished using the strategy detailed in the Decomissioner achievement. Just move quickly between missile silos with flying and boost.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPzB-U0=.jpg In the Drink 25G - Avoid civilian casualties in the Flying Fortress mission
To earn this achievement, you have to completely destroy the Fortress before the 10 minute timer reaches zero. I'll explain the fastest way to take it down, as there are multiple waves of targets.
Keep hitting it with missiles and unibeam shots until it blows and then the mission ends and the achievement unlocks.
http://tiles.xbox.com/tiles/Z7/Yk/0YCLiGJhbC83CxoDG11TVkYyL2FjaC8wLzFDAAAAAOfn5-4Ltns=.jpg Personnel Vendetta 15G - Defeat 20 soldiers in the Arctic Battle mission
This is fairly easy to do. Just be very thorough while destroying the primary targets. Look for the small blue dots on your radar, (they usually appear in groups of three or more), and keep firing away until the achievement unlocks.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPiw1zs=.jpg Tatyana, Interrupted 25G - Protect the nuclear facility in the Arctic Battle mission
That's as far as I've made it playing on Normal difficulty, but I'll post more hints/suggestions where applicable.

"Pugilist (15 points)
Complete any mission (other than Escape) without using weapons systems
This can not be done on:
Escape
First Flight (you must use weapons to beat it)
Stark Weapon (you must use weapons to beat it) "
This can be done easily on Stark Weapons using the Hulkbuster armour. For the end boss just press B to catch the incoming missles and throw them back. Piece of piss.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPhlCw8=.jpg Not a Scratch 25G - Avoid harming the destroyer and its crew in the Lost Destroyer mission
Keep moving from the left side to the right side, hitting it with its own missiles, until it goes under for good.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPxYBII=.jpg Power Saver 25G - Avoid disrupting the city's power supply in the On Defense mission
His health will run after a while.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UP7TzeQ=.jpg Smack down 25G - Defeat Titanium Man before his second recharge in the On Defense mission
You can easily pick this achievement up along with Power Saver if you have your repulsors and your suits auxiliary weapons upgraded to the max, with Advanced Vespid Missiles. After he recharges the first time just lay into him with everything you've got and he should go down before he even heads in the direction of the next generator.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UP24-BE=.jpg Proton Shut Out 25G - Prevent cannon attacks on civilian targets in the Island Meltdown mission
If you're quick enough about laying on the damage, you can end the mission, destroy the cannon and earn the achievement before the cannon gets a shot off.

i can't do it for the life of meI've been trying desperately to accomplish this, myself. But it seems as if it's going to be ridiculously hard to pull off. You can't let any of the towers be destroyed, all the while keeping the main building from being blown up either. I've been trying to discern an exact pattern, but nothing has come to me yet. I've also been testing out different equipment setups and different suits. If I ever unlock it, I'll post whatever method I used.

ya, i got far (at least i think i did) like 10 minutes into it without any buildings destroyed, by going through the electrical ring things when jarvas says 'tower stabalized' but there are just too many enemies and i eventually lost a building. very frustrating  lol.

http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/+NnFaw==.jpg Escape Velocity 25G - Sever the tether before the satellite overloads in the Space Tether mission
Don't even worry about enemies, just circle and fire.
http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/achievements/494/UPp3O6Y=.jpg You're Fired! 25G - Destroy power regulators in the Iron Monger mission

QuasidodoJr
05-05-2008, 11:09 PM
The game itself will only take about 8 - 12 hours to finish, but some of the later missions will take multiple replays before you get them right. There's only a few in-game achievements that are REALLY hard to get. There's one I still cannot get. This game is also very, very difficult in the later stages in Hard mode, if you're working towards the Superhero achievement.

Defeat an opponent using the ground pound in the Extremis armor
The Extremis armor is unlocked by defeating the second One Man Army mission. More info soon.
This can be completed after unlocking the Extremis armor as mentioned before. Can kill an enemy by hovering high and near them. Free fall right next to them and Iron Man will hit the ground causing damage to the nearby area. Just do this to a weak enemy. Can be achieved in One Man Army mode.

I just got the achievement Shocking! I found that the best way to get this achievement is to first of all, play on easy. Wait until you finish the game's main story and attempt the mission through Mission Replay mode. The reason for this is so that you can have acess to all level 3 suit upgrades. I found that the best suit power combination is as follows:
Core Systems: Advanced Striker System
Repulsors: Advanced Ion Repulsor
Power Systems: HEC Augmented
Auxiliary Weapons: Advanced Vespid Missiles
Mobility Enhancements: Agilitas Thrusters
When you start the mission, take out the defenses around the reactor. The easiest way to do this is to fly straight for one of the Tesla Coils (The Round Hoops) in one of the four corners around the reactor. This will overload the reactor and destroy any enemies around (mobile suits, gunships, missiles etc.). Jarvis will notify you that a reactor overload has been detected.
At this point, the coils will be offline for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. When they come back online, Jarvis will notify you by saying something like "Reactor Stabilized." Fly through another Tesla coil to overload any enemies surrounding the reactor once again. Keep this up as you are able to to make sure that the reactor takes as little damage as possible. This leaves you mostly free to protect the "outlying buildings" which are, simply, the Tesla coils.
Jarvis will notify you that a coil is under attack and a yellow blip will appear on your radar. Use your thrusters and fly as quickly as possible to the blip and take out anything that is attacking the coil. As the coils are being attacked, you will have to deal with the occasional missile barrage to the reactor so make sure that you are constantly checking the radar.
Just because there is no yellow blip on your radar, doesn't mean that there isn't light resistance around the coils so make sure you fly in a circular pattern around the coils and take out any enemies. When another yellow blip appears on your radar, go to it as quickly as possible and take out the enemies and fly through one of the coils whenever they come back online.
This probably one of the most difficult Hero objectives to obtain and i tried several repulsor combinations until I found the one that worked the best. Once I got the right one, I passed the mission on my first attempt.
When Jarvis says that the enemies are retreating, the coils are safe and you have only one more thing to do to secure your achievement. Jarvis will inform you of an oncoming missile barrage. Fly above the reactor and do your best to shoot down as many missiles as possible and they will eventually stop coming and you will pass the mission.

I found a new method for getting the pugilist achievement. I got mine by doing the one man army mission vs the ten rings using the hulkbuster variant. I understand dude, makes sense. But it's such a pain doing all the extra research to figure out the correct order for when I format my own guide. Most people will not want to miss acheivements because one of the first available ones is at the end of the guide. Check out Ratatouille's achievements for example, missing one means restarting the whole game in some cases. Luckily this game is more forgiving.
I managed to get them in order by looking at the gamefaqs guide, thanks for including the names of the levels for most of the acheivements. ;)

an easy 850 and then the last 150 you have to beat the game on the hardest difficulty and thts a bit of a challenge.

I have some tips:
Easiest mission to beat without using weapons for me, was the Maggia Fortress one using the Hulkbuster Armour too, more damage that way. Go around punching everything in sight, picking up stuff, which is easy to do and before you know it, you'll have the achievement.
Beating Titanium Man in the mission On Defense is rather easy actually, adding to what SenhIV said, using the Unibeam too will help quite a bit actually, as tht takes off a bit of health indeed.
Same goes for Iron Monger, just stay away, fire hard out at him nd using your Unibeam will bring him down easily.
Believe me, the Unibeam is rather useful indeed, use that more often ;)
And in some missions you reply, use the Hulkbuster armour, the Y button missle is rather powerful too, especially on the Space Tether, using that will actually damage or destroy the target as well as ones nearby.
So yeah, just some tips from what I've done on the game, which made it a bit easier, even though I've only beaten it on easy mode.

I cant complete the hero achievement on the save pepper mission. you give good advice but i still cant seem to keep track of the missiles when i have too save the tesla coils. is there any weapon that works well against the missiles? its the last hero achievement i have left and would be a bummer if i cant do it. thank you and this game is great i like it the learning curve is high but once u master flying its really fun.

When we make achievement guides we have to keep it in the front page order. Sorry.
Actually, a little reading is a good thing.
IMPORTANT - In the forum guide, feel free to reorder the achievements, change font, or even replace the tiles with ones from live.com so they don't have the border. Whatever you want to do to make it look better is fine. However, the guide you enter in the Submit forum (See Step Six) MUST be formatted exactly to the specifications I just laid out. It makes it massively easier for us to edit it and put it on the site.
It's actually encouraged for you to put the forum guide chronologically if it'll save massive confusion.

"To earn this achievement, you have to completely destroy the Fortress before the 10 minute timer reaches zero. I'll explain the fastest way to take it down, as there are multiple waves of targets.
Keep hitting it with missiles and unibeam shots until it blows and then the mission ends and the achievement unlocks."
This is the best advice ever!! I did it a little different, but I used this guide! Thanks who ever came up with it!!

Use Silver Centurion suit, blow up all but one of the first group of objectives. Then fly up and take out 3 to 4 of the jets that keep flying overhead.
Then comeback down and finish off the first orange beaken, and then fly around taking out the rest. Not having the jets fly overhead should keep alot of the fire off of you.
Then use the advice of approaching the middle island under a pipeline. And just keep sticking your head up just far enough to get your shots off. If you need to re-energize just duck down under the piping. You'll get it pretty easily this way.
