CYC free kick and peno tips

like many i found these two achievements the hardest on the game ( although not got 1000 yet lol) anyways here are a few tips to help you, hope they help, comment back if they do.

FREE KICK

for the free kick there's a easy way, every time just run the ball to the 18 yard box and turn away so you our 20-30 yards from the goal.then let go of the analog and just hold LT when the defender comes from behind he will start to push you then let go of LT and he will push your player over resulting in a freekick. sometimes the defender will go to the front of you and try and get the ball fairly, just simply keep trying and you will get pushed over.

ANOTHER TIP : when upgrading your players stats try not to increase strengh and balance so you fall over easier.


PENALTIES

For the penalties there are two options the first option is too do what i mentioned for the free kick but do it in the box, this might work but i have not had a penalties in my five attempts, the other option which is ALOT easier is too wait til your in the Quarters, semis or final of the uefa euro on Captain your Country and let it go into extra time and penalties and score then. EASY!!!

The defenders just refuse to foul (playing semi-pro). Anyway to make them do it? Play on a higher difficulty level?

I am playing on amateur just to make it a bit easier. I am getting FK's quite reqularly, just can't score the buggers.

When upgrading the player there is a free kick taking option under the skills part. Upgrade this to 99.

Finally managed it at the first attempt with Ronaldo, thanks for the tip, has saved me a lot of time. Just 4 more achievements to go now!

it dont work for me, they just keep tackling me from the front, i know it says captain ur country but can u do it in kick off?

to get the achievement you must do it in CYC mode, although i presume you can use the same tactic to win free kicks/penalties in kick off/Euro 08 mode

Everytime i stop the ball and hold LT and then release when they try to take the ball of you, they always take the ball of me just like that they dont push me over or nothing and when they do i dont get a free kick.

I had a really hard time with this achievement but I finally unlocked it today !

This tactic works great in my opinion. It took me about 50 tries to score my first FK and then I scored 2 more in the same game with Ronaldo. :p
