Q: Do cheats disable achievements?
A: Most cheats (especially for health, armor, money or guns) WILL disable achievements.

Q: Where can I find the pigeons/jumps/other unlockables.
A: Go to an internet cafe and visit the website http://www.whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com -- this will show you maps of everything.

Q: Does visiting the above website disable the achievements?
A: No, it does not.

Q: Does time spent in multiplayer go toward the 30h for "Liberty City Minute?"
A: No, only time spent in single player.

Q: How do I unlock "special abilities?"
A: By becoming friends with Roman (taxis), Jacob (weapons), Packi (bombs) or Brucie (helicopters). You will need 75% friendship to get their gifts. If you fall below 75% you will lose these gifts.

Q: What is the maximum/minimum amount of people you can have in Multiplayer?
A: 16 Players is the maximum, 2 Players is the minimum.

Q: Can you avoid paying tolls?
A: When in a government car (police car, etc.) if you stop at the toll they will open it for free.

Q: Is there a quick/easy way to get money?
A: Locate an ATM and block the road around it so no cars can get through. Then wait until someone makes a withdrawal and kill them. Walk away and come back, the person should still be dead and the ambulance won't be able to reach them, but the money will have respawned. You can repeat this as many times as you like.

Q: I can't get lucky in Liberty City... Where can I find some info to get my e-penis wet?

Certain achievements can be unlocked in multiplayer say the "Multiplayer only IE: the ranked kill one".
But achievements like the blowing up cars, ect.. I think not.

The story line missions are just the ones that appear in the Stats (after pressing Start)

You can see something like:

Roman Mission Progress 50%

The missions given by these characters are the ones that count towards the "storyline before 30Hrs" achievement.

You CANT skip or miss missions... so just keep going to the narked spots on the map, youll be fine

No you don't have to restart your game. I missed my interview appointment and they called me back to reschedule. Just be patient and wait for it.

What exactly constitutes a spoiler? I mean, basically any and all discussion of the plot of the story is a spoiler. I saved before an appointment once and my alarm clock woke me up in time for my appointment. It looked as though I was going to be late but I just trip skipped with a cab and made my appointment ok.

I saw on another thread where people were looking for places where the car you are driving spawns a lot. The South Bohan Safehouse is just such a place. Try driving through there with an Infernus, it's beautiful! The best part is that Stevie's garage is just around the corner so if you are doing a Stevie run and want that particular vehicle just stop by the safehouse, drive one of the clones into your parking spot, then get back into the original and head over to Stevie. When I did this with the Infernus there was a beautiful cherry red one parked right next to my parking spot. It was like a gift from the heavens. Anyway all the cars in the area will clone all the way around that corner leading up to your safehouse. If you want to clone one of the cars you already have parked, just drive around the block and when you return just pick your favourite colour.

umm no, that answer is wrong. u do not have to restart the game. u will recieve a text message saying that there was no possible time to schedule an appointment and as soon as a spot opens they will let u know.

few hours to a day later (gta time) u will recieve a phone call about the appointment. may be longer than a day i forget cuz it took them a while to call me back so i spent a while tryin to do other achievements

that is wut happens when u save/sleep. i did it on my 2nd play through, trust me

There really isn't one. If we knew of a good (legal) way, it would be included in the achievement guide. The best advice we have is for a people to keep joining and leaving rooms until they end up as the host of one, then their friends keep joining and leaving until by some act of god they end up in the same room together. Then you're all friends for one game, and have to do the process all over again...... this really isn't a boostable game.

Well 007Craft posted this in another thread. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it would work....


GTA4 Race boosting 101:

1. Some people have a high compatibility with you. I dont know why, it has NOTHING to do with prefering players. Some people you get into a match every time with, others, you can search for hours and never find each other. I find some1, if I cant find them in 3-4 searches, we are not compatible, thus we cant boost, time to look for new partner.

2. Ok once you found some1 who you can boost with, the trick is to keep joining over and over until one of you gets in a match with 3 players or less (including yourself). If one of you is host, even better. Once in the match, tell the other right away. They then search and should get in your match real fast.

3. Once you and your friend are in the same match, you kick the same guy, if the 4th guy leaves, your kick on the 3rd will take effect. Sometimes the 4th may kick the 3rd with you since he sees him being voted, then you just kick the 4th as soon as the 3rd is gone. Because of this, it is important to first kick hosts, players without mics, then finally low ranked players. If your host and waiting for your friend, make sure you set the vehicles to trucks if your doing a race. Leaving supercars on will only encourage people to stay. Also setting laps to 8 is a good idea. Make sure you ready up, to let the others know that your serious with your settings and not change them (unready up just before the game starts tho or dont ready up if the others all ready up). Once your friend joins, set laps to 1 real quick and start it up after they are all kicked

4. General tips: Players actualy join your lobby 2 seonds before you can see them. To see them early, hit the X button to view players list. Once you see your friend is in from this list, you know to start it up, even before his name pops in the lobby.

When you and your friend are both ready up fast and the game doesnt start, that means some1 just joined. You should BOTH have your right stick always held down ready to unready, kick the guy who joined real fast, then ready again.

If you get the blue screen, kicked, or lost connection, all of which result in a return to single player, you will NOT be able to join that same match again. This is good to avoid repeat matches you kept joing, and if you got into your friends match and got sent back you know he has to rehost.

You dont have to always be alone with a friend. If you can start it up with even 8 or less players you should be able to win, providing laps are set to 3 or 4, if your friend blocks/kills the other drivers and helps you.

What are the times to beat for the "Fly the Co-Op" Achievement?
I have tried searching but cannot find them as I want to be sure, I think Deal Breaker is 7:00:00-7:04:00, not a clue about the BDBII time, and I heard Hangman's NOOSE is 2:20:00?

Q: For "Cleaned the Mean Streets", when you do a group of criminals, such as the gang activity ones, do all of them count for one criminal? Or does the group count as one?
A: As far as I know each one counts as one because I know I didn't do twenty whole things from the computer.

This is untrue. I did several gang missions for the vigilante missions and despite killing around a dozen dudes each time, the achievement didn't unlock until I had done twenty missions. The description for the game says criminals, but it is missions, so a gang will count as one mission. Since this is the case, save your ammo/time/health and go after criminals on foot.

So just to make sure before I go any farther. Killing Clarence right away (in the mission Holland Nights) won't mess up the achievement where you have to meet everyone?


Also, someone mentioned something above that confused me...Can you get the 30 hour achievement if you have 2 save files?

Just to make sure we're on the same page; I shot clarence at the end of the mission for Francis. Is my No More Strangers achievement still safe (because i technically 'met' him), or should i replay it and let him live?

Clarence doesn't count towards the achievement or 100%. I also killed him and got the achievement.
