Chain Reaction & Rolled Over - Any Tips?

rolled over will prob be luck, unless anyone knows of a massive ramp you can fly off... and chain reaction, is there cars parked somewhere? i stole loads of cars, parked them beside each other and rpg'd them and still never got it :confused:

I havent done this yet, I tried it but died.

Go to the second island and find the section that looks like time square. I think its called the triangle. There is always a shit ton of cars there, and tour buses. Steal a tour bus and park it in the intersection to block traffic then rpg or toss grenades into the stuck cars, well over 20 of them when its busy.

As for the rolling thing, you could try and get hit by the train sideways but i have a feeling that might be instadeath

I'm gonna have some great fun trying to roll the car 5 times. I would suggest, getting to top speed and flicking the back end of the car round in to a ramp or low wall. Suicidal driving round the city should eventually result in a crazy crash that would result in this achievement.

I don't know why it didn't work if you like parked about 10 cars and then RPG'ed them all... I think the Times Square method will work. Damn commuters. =D

I am not going to try to go for the roll achievement. That way, if I get it (without meaning to), I will be so proud. ;)
Kind of like when I got the "Spinnin' Around" achievement in Burnout Paradise by complete accident. I remember giggling like a school girl after I saw it pop up.

For the 10 in a row, you can use the 'save car space' to park up to 8-10 vehicles (bikes). Then wait for some traffic to build up nearby and RPG it all.:uzi:

for the roll over achievement go to the middle bridge on the brookyln side(dont know the game name) theres like a little bump like in the other GTA's you can ramp off I can get about 3 - 4 flips.. just trying it with different cars! Its just where the bridge starts

just got it on the yellow ramps at the airport in a regular taxi use the full grass part of the runway and aim you wheel just to hit the edge of the yellow ramp! not half way!!! right on the edge! It should flip you a few times 1st go if you do it right!!

Alright! just got it, in one of the FlyUS vans (the cops destroyed my Taxi). I was driving, and barely hit my right wheel against the ramp, and moved the joystick in the way I was flipping (left), and I got it! Thanks for the tip!

im having a hard time figuring out the place at he airport. is it the small stripped ramps with all the cones n shit behind it? the 4 start wanted level you get makes it hard and i usually land in the water. anyone make a video plz?

AAAHHHHH! Im gonna wreck my 360. I have been tryin to roll over at the airport for over 3 hours now. Ive tried taxis, police cars, sports cars, vans and suvs. Fed up driving to airport eveytime the cops get me so does any1 no anywhere else that i can try.

I been trying at the place that IGN says:

Rolled Over: Do five car rolls in a row from one crash. - 30G

You might have to try this one over and over again, or you might be able to get it on your first try, as it's kind of a crapshoot. Your best bet is to launch your chosen vehicle off of one of the unique stunt jumps scattered around Liberty City and just hope that the ball (well, car) bounces in your favor. One area to try is on the Algonquin Bridge that leads from Dukes to Algonquin. There is a part where the lanes split (right at the bridge) when you're going westbound, and at that split is a small ramp that you can hit at high speed to make your car roll over several times. Try to land in the lower area to give yourself more room to roll over.


I've rolled 4 times i think is the best i got so far. its gettin annoying tho.

yeah, i just got mine, i was origionally hitting the long red n white stripped ramps at the very end of the runway (wrong place) then i started hitting the smaller yellow ones in the grass area next to the runway. i hit it with prolly half my car going over and half not. 7 rolls i think. i was in a cop car.

no matter what i use or what part of the yellow things i hit i just cant get enough rolls. My car usually rolls long ways as if i was hitting the yellow thing with all four wheels even though 1 or 2 of my wheels are. VERY FRUSTATING.

Thank F**K, finally done it after far too long. Spawned a supergt at airport an hit the yellow thing as fast as i could, still dont think it was 5 rolls but i got it.

I used Free Aim with a guy to aim at people inside cars (to prevent police from comming to gunshots, stopping my explosive fun)
Then climbed into each car, and packed them all together nicely, around 1 centeral car. drove a patriot ontop for good measure and dropped a grenade in there. As i was running away i dropped more grenades on the road in the line of coming traffic. got the achive easy

I just got Rolled Over achievement, its eays imo, just take a police car get to the airport.
Then drive full speed to one of the small yellow ramps on the edge, you should spin around much and eventually get it, i tried 5-6 times and the got it :)

man I just got the rolled over achievement and to be honest it was so incredibly easy. You don't have to get 5 rolls in one exact flip either. Here's what I did. I took the abandoned police car that is sitting just up the street on the same side as your beginning safe house. Took it to the airport on the runway. I did the flips off the ramps with a 4-star wanted level chasing me the whole time too. Pretty intense.

What you do is start at one end and go full speed down the runway, when you have top speed veer onto the grass that's right next to the runway. They have these yellow striped ramps at frequent intervals, just hit one and hold the left stick to the side. You go flying and flipping through the air, I landed right side up too, but no achievement, turned around and went back the other way at top speed, hit another ramp and as soon as I launched off the ramp in a roll achievement unlocked. So I guess it's cumulative because the achievement unlocked as soon as I started the roll on the second ramp. Try to hit the ramp at the side if you can. But with the police car it was no problem. I went launching in the air twilrling my ass off. It was fun.

OMG!! Fina ******* ly lol got the Rolled Over achievement after 2 hours of non-stop trying, basically got a cop car, shot out the front left tyre, hurled down the runway hit the sparking rim only on the ramp and got it first try got around 6 rolls/flips!

rolled over was really easy at the airport.

chain reaction is hard though... i can't manage to get more then 10 cars together without getting any heat from the cops. if i run away, the cars disappear.. if i shoot the cops they come in full force and kick my ass :(

Im still having trouble with chain reaction as well, grenades are hard to use..they lock on all the time and even in the car park the cars aren't there all the time and you get heat quick...

My Method to getting this Achievement was to go to the Airport and jump the yellow things near the runway. I turned off autosave so that this doesn't waste any of my time so i suggest doing it too and u get killed alot. Ok when u get to the Airport get a fast car and go down the middle of the runway, when u see one of those yellow triangle things sticking from the ground jump it from an angle and u should get it to flip the car about five times. If the car doesn't seem to flip as much get a car thats very skinning i used the ruiner and that worked for me. Hope it helps u people u need visual aid then send me an email or PM i'l make a youtube video for it.

I am trying at the airport, but can not get this. Does the rolls have to be on ground, or does the one in the air count? Do you hit the yellow triangles in front, or from the side? Does the car have to roll a special way? Videos anyone?

Well I got this achievement, took about 15 minutes. All I did was use the Super GT cheat, first time I used a cheat for the game so far, and kept hitting the yellow ramps with the left or right front tire only. The only weird thing was I got the achievement only doing one roll, but I did four previous rolls all with the same car. So I have a feeling you just need to get five rolls with the same car, because honestly how will they know it is only one crash? Wish I could have recorded it or something, I also got it while doing a roll in the air so I don't think it matters if it is ground or air.

I finally got the roll one, I did it by doing the air port way but I just stayed on the tarmac as long as possible then turned hard at the end

Go airport and run into the yellow signs, I did about 7 Flips and got it..

But just in case...DONT SAVE AFTERWARDS, you keep the achievement and don't risk losing 100%.

Right is anyone else having problems unlocking Chain reaction?

Ive followed all the guides and blown up way more than 10 veichles in 10 seconds, but it still hasnt unlocked after 5 attempts.

I have typed the cheat codes in but it does not say anything about disabling this achievement, also does it have to be with 1 grenade or 1 rocket?

alright, i did it by using the 'no wanted' cheat... just go to a very busy road, hold your gun into drivers faces and get as many cars as possible next to each other. if you get police attention, use the cheat to make them go away. now go to a safe distance, throw a frag in the middle and watch the fireworks :)

i got my rolled over achievement at the airport. the wierd thing was that i only got 4 flips. but a second later i drove over a sign and did another roll and that gave me the achievement. it was a long enough pause between the landing and the second roll for it to not make any sense.

Easier said then done... I've tried this a good 3-4 times where I've managed to have 10-11 cars there most times I have to keep driving to the bridge and back just to see more then 5 cars.

Then I throw a grenade or two, looks like all the cars blew up but no achievement? I've not used cheats so its not that :(

I was thinking exactly this, only off of the highest point possible, to allow maximum time to fall/rotate 5 times.

Got chain reaction today. Took buss and blocked up the highway. Then stood on top of the bus and waited for around 15 cars. Threw one grenade to the end, one in the middle, and one in front of the bus. Didn't expect to get it because I had tried so many times bu got it in under 5 secs

this is the easiest possible way to get chain reaction. just bring a rocket launcher (make sure to have a good amount of rockets, 4-5 maybe) and you'll get it easily. this is exactly how i got mine.

I officially have given up on both achievements after tonight.

Just blew up 23 cars by shooting one till it caught fire and blew up, and ALL other cars blew up within about 5 seconds exactly so much so that my Xbox almost froze and still no achievement.

And as for the Flips, I actually managed to flip 5 times, then hit the wing of the plane and it gave me more momentum, flipping me 4 more times, then hit the group and had one last flip...No achievement.

Not worth it anymore.. :mad:

I still need the rolled over achievement. I tried doing the airport idea that somebody mentioned, but I got four stars almost instantly for being there. Needless to say, I died before I could even get to a good spot to flip the car. To get the chain reaction achievement I was going over one of the bridges and just turned two cars sideways (a bus would work too) and waited a few seconds for traffic to back up. I took a couple of the cars and moved them closer together to insure I would get a good explosion. I then chucked two or three grenades in the pile, and rpg'd the remainder of the cars. Worked for me, the times square idea seems a little easier though!

I thought spawning vehicles deactivated achievements, so how can u spawn a car and then unlock the achievement? also using the no wanted level cheat, surely those 2 will stop you getting rolled over?

For Rolled Over (At the Airport):
Try using one yellow sign on one side to get a lot of rolls/flips, then use the other side of the same sign to get one flip/roll and it should unlock.

I'v just had a idia for the chain reaction one. Start just jacking cars outside one of your safehouses when you get a wanted level go into the house and save the game. You should loose the wanted level and the cars should still be where you left them. Just keep doing this untill you have around 15 or 20 cars, then just throw a nade in and start blowing it up with rockets that should work.

I carnt try it as i allready have the achivment but if some one elce could try it, that would be cool.

Another bump from me. I tried for 2 hours tonight with no luck. If anything, i'd like to know how to delete the cheats from my phone if possible.

I don't think I have any other slots with gamesaves from 2 days ago (prior to my knowing about the cheats). I usually just overwrite the same slot's Game-Save.

If you're early on the game go to the Airport Car Park, jack a 4*4 and use it to push ten cars together using the biggest existing cluster as your starting point. This method is a bit slow but it avoids police attention.

Once you've got your cars tightly packed, lob a grenade in the middle and you should get the achievement. (Grenades can be found in the middle of the fountain in the Park).

Packie gives you a car bomb that is fairly powerful maybe twice as powerful as a grenade? Not sure exactly. If you can get all the cars together with the one in the middle having a car bomb in it you can call in the detonation then start firing RPG's or tossing grenades into it. Should work...

on the third island there`s a showroom with about 10 cars in it. ( in game internet will show u the address 4 where i mean on there website ) there`s a motorway above it go on there park 2 cars across the road so it blocks all others going past. blow them up wiv a rpg and then look over the wall at the car showroom and send rpg`s down there. this way no cops come when u parking cars up which happened 2 me every time i tried getting 10 together. this way i did it 1st time so i`d say it is quite easy

Here's how I did it, found a petrol station, parked under it, then started nicking every car on the road next to it, using the cheat when necessary, untill I had 15 cars under the petrol station all packed in tightly around the pumps. Lobbed 2 grenades (1 at each pump) then ran like a jackrabbit. The explosion was pretty intense.

Managed to do this now using cheats..

Used a bus from times square to block one lane of a bridge and then used two cheats - advanced weapons (for grenades) and Lose wanted level.
Had about 17 motors piled in and then threw two grenades in, one at the back and one at the front then ran!!
