I'm pretty sure everyone is pumped for this. Definitely one of the best looking comic movies I've seen in a while... Aside from The Dark Knight of course! ;) Though I'm pretty sure everyone says that.

Hopefully it won't be a flop! I have faith in this though. I mean, it's a great character... It has to be good right? :p

I agree, I hate Robert Downey Jr. But the actors don't always make the movie good or bad.

Example - I hate Adam Sandler, but I really liked 'Spanglish' and 'Little Nicky'.
Example 2 - I love Robert De Niro, but I hate 'Showtime'.

This movie should rawk. But unfortunately it doesn't stay true to the Iron Man story, which is a minor letdown. But still, it'll definitely pwn.

Wait, back up... two things REALLY wrong with this thread.

First, it's Iron Man, not Ironman. I hate when people put Ironman. It's worse than Spiderman. It's Spider-Man. If you're gonna say you like dork culture then you gotta do it right! :p

Second, RDJ is a fantastic actor. He may have a fucked up personal life, but the dude is damn good. If you haven't liked him before, watch the movie Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and it will change your mind. He was really good in Zodiac as well.

That said, this movie is going to be good. I'm going on Saturday night after having people over for a summer kickoff BBQ. :)

I loved Downey in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang which is one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie might be good but I think it's going to end up being like Transformers. Lot's of cheesy jokes and over the top action. The only reason I think it will be better than Transformers is the cast. The acting in that movie was atrocious. With Downey I'm at least expecting some good things.

He plays the role of Tony Stark perfectly. When I saw the commercial, I saw that awesome Tony Stark ego flashing perfectly. I'm pretty psyched for this movie.

Couldn't agree more, Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang was a terrific film. And I think Robert Downey Jr will fit the role of Tony Stark perfectly. Needless to say, I am so excited for this movie to come out.

I mean we could always have Tom Cruise play the part, the guy they were originally going to go after for the part. But, I can't wait for Iron Man I've been waiting for 2 years when I first heard it was being released.

Hopefully this years line-up of Comic-Book movies (Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Dark Knight) can bring some respect back to the Comic-Book movies...because Spider Man 3, Fantastic Four 2 were horrible.

Couldn't agree more. He was good back in the day, but the guy's a freak nowadays.

As for this movie, I'm excited. Can't wait for five more days. My hopes aren't too high, though. I'm more excited for The Dark Knight, Incredible Hulk, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
