is this worth 800 and are the acheivments hard or easy

The achievements are very difficult. The game is one of the toughest shmups out there. It is well worth the money if you enjoy shmups. I would say download the trial version and if you like it buy it. I already own it on gamecube and bought it on 360.

Yeah it's definitely hard but it's a lot of fun if you're into the genre. I've noticed it lags a lot for me on co-op over Live (I've never lagged with any other games) but it's still fun local.

It is very difficult. I would not buy it solely for achievement purposes.

Like everyone said, it's difficult for achievements though you can get around 60 or so just getting through the game. Which isn't to say getting through it is easy, but it's possible.
It's a bullet hell shmup to the extreme and is highly representative of its genre. If you like the genre, the Ikaruga is a must. If not, it probably won't convert you to the type of game!

the game is incredibally good if you like the genre (i have 20 hours+ and i have got an A on first mission :D) but if you want just achievements.. dont even think about it ^_^

If you read the review in OXM it says that the game is very friendly to new gamers and also carries the competitive edge for the advanced gamers. This game is ridiculously hard! I have only 20g for it with the potiential to only get 50! Lol! I would say that I am a decently good gamer but this game is too hard for me!

My housemate just got it, its a fun game to play, didnt like it at first but its grown on me.
VERY difficult even on easy and playing co-op, we have managed to beat the stage 3 boss once so far!
dont buy it for the acchievements, but if you have 800 points going spare go for it!
