Last night i was watching Attack Of The Show and they were talking about some movie and then about 15 minutes later the hosts where saying that a rumor about the new Goonies,Lost Boys, and Gremlins are being made right now.So the next day i went on google to see if the rumor was true and a lot of sites said that Lost Boys and the Gremlins are being produced.I did not hear any thing about the Goonies yet though but i hope that the rumors are actaully true.

Too bad they probably won't be that good. I only slightly liked Goonies and Gremlins, but even then I wouldn't be able to watch them much.

Haven't you noticed the amount of remakes that are being released?

The Hills Have Eyes
Black Christmas
Prom Night
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Halloween

It's getting ridiculous!
They're also coming out with a Short Circuit remake.

And only one of those you listed is a good flick, so sad. I'm not going to lie, i'm interested to see how the Evil Dead remake will turn out, same with the new Friday the 13th remake.

These are some classic films and I'm positive the remakes won't recapture the greatness of the originals. Then again, hotdog is infamous for making up stories. Anyway, one of the few good remakes lately was 3:10 to Yuma.

I'd consider "300" to be a remake. A shitty one, at that.

Me too.

I have to say, most movies aren't fit with talented actors though such as Bale and Crowe, and remakes have worse actors than the average movies tend to from what I see.

Like sequels.
Money.

Can we have The Warriors remade...that would be l337.

Yeah its a pity. These directors are never good and just take the ideas of great people and twist it into their own crap.

That movie is golden... Can't be touched.

So true. What made The Warriors so great was partially how corny it was. If they remade it it would just be another stupid action movie.

Shit, I meant could they restore it like they do so I can have it on Blu-Ray although I kinda like the old movie feeling. WARRIORS...COME OUT AND PLAY-E-A

Glad to see another fan! :)

I wasn't listing all of the remakes. Just a few.

Most films released these days are remakes. A lot of Hollywood only make movies for monetary reasons, so if they can just redo a film and it won't take much effort or time or (more importantly in their eyes) money, they'll do it.

It's fucking annoying for film-lovers like myself that most films are bland, over-budgeted, CGI-driven crap!

I hate it :(

Short Circuit is awesome. I love the movie. "Number 5 ALIVE!"

Also, they are remaking The Warriors. It's being directed by Tony Scott, who directed Crimson Tide, Enemy of the State, Man on Fire, and Deja Vu. Might be good.

And the Lost Boys you mentioned isn't getting remade (at least as far as I know). They're probably talking about the sequel that just got made.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they made a remake of Goonies. I doubt they'd remake The Gremlins, probably just make another sequel, but with horribly CGI'd gremlins.

Wow! How fucking lame!
I mean, don't get me wrong, Tony Scott is pretty cool... Without him, we'd have no Top Gun... But Jesus, couldn't they have remade something that needs some remaking?

I agree there. The Warriors is still great today. No need to remake it.

You just know that if they do remake The Goonies, it'll be too politically correct, and try and discourage kids from becoming obese that Chunk will do the vegetable shuffle.

They'll remake ET next......

I don't mind them making sequels, you can just choose not to watch them if you want.... but remakes, that's a different story!

what ever happened to Ghostbusters 3? Did that just get scrapped? I thought I heard it was being written ages ago!

Wow, I didn't know of an Evil Dead remake. I'm hoping the new Friday the 13th is good. Can't be any worse than Jason X.

Ghostbusters 3 i believe is becoming a game instead of a movie. But will have an in depth storyline. There was a rumoured movie, with Akroyd and Murray returning, with Ben Stiller too, but plans didn't come to anything, but now they're making a game based on a script written by Aykroyd, which he's having creative input on, that he said is the closest they'll get to a third Ghostbusters movie.

See I knew there was a game coming, I saw the teaser trailer a few months back, but I didn't realise it was some sort of replacement for the film :(.

Ah well, hopefully it'll be good, although I'm not holding my breath...

Off topic: Anybody remember Ghostbusters on the Spectrum? What a great game!

I have the new Ghostbusters film on pirate screener, they are all comepletly new actors in it.. I personally don't like it.
Unless the one I have is fake.
I'll upload the cover and some clips out of it.
