Magruder's riders HELP!

So i finally got the furgeson rifle and now im having trouble killing all of the horsemen right afterwards. i can kill about the first three, usually but it seems like theres just an endless supply of them. Can anybody give me some help on where/how to kill them? Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to take cover behind some rocks to the right of the steamboat and they should come around at you one at a time. Just aim for the heads and with the rifle they should drop fairly quickly.

Don't worry, there isn't as many as you think.
