Question about certain achievements.

The achievements where you have to do something a certain number of times (IE kill so many people with a certain weapon, heal your AI partner a certain number of times and so on), do you have to get these on one playthrough?

I know the earn 1 billion dollars carries through, but I was trying to get the SMG achievement as well as preserving Assault Rifle ammo and finished the game. Will my kill count carry through or reset?

I can confirm that it is across all playthroughs. Also, you can get achievements in training. I got "Fear is the Mind Killer" and "Beast with two fronts" in training. the latter of the two was unintentional, just had to play through training again on my "Hard" playthrough.

My fiancee (who was on the same box with her account) got the kill 250 men with Assault rifles in training when we restarted the game....

To answer your question, you can play a level/checkpoint over and over again to your heart's desire across many playthroughs and it keeps a running tally.

Okay thanks, the one I couldn't easily get was the Martyrs one.

I got Fear is the Mind Killer in Iraq..there's a machine gun emplacement before finding Eisenhower I think, and I just continually fired it in the vague direction of the enemy and got it there.

You can get the SMG,Sniper,Assault Rifle,and Pistol Achievements at the training area where you have to heal your parter. Wish you could do it with a Machinegun too. :@

they're easily attainable throughout the game. Just play on recruit, focos on only one weapon until you get it. May need to reload certain checkpoints for max advantage, but most come quickly enough if you just focus primarily on one weapon type.

Yea I got my Shotgun/Machine Gun by doing random re-runs of China.
