Yea they will because, if I'm not mistaken, either Blu-Rays or HD-DVDs are $20 a piece

sony will get them for about £2 each
but will just use the cost as an excuse.
oh and dont get me wrong i do actually like sony
it just i think they are pricing most people out of the chance to get the ps3.
so till i see the console for £200 and the games for about £30 i wont be getting one

I still want a PS3 because I'm an RPG whore and FFXIII looks amazing, and for once there is a hot female lead character that kicks major ass. But, $600 and $80-$90 is a little out of my monetary range at this time.

what im going to do is wait till i see the games preowned at a price ill pay then pick up the ones i want then,
and pick up the console when i see it at a price im willing to pay
i can see me having a few games on my shelves before i even have the console

I thought i heard somewhere Sony was planning on making it so that once you play a game on your system, you cannot play it on another system i guess to try and abolish renting, borrowing, and selling preowned.

no that maybe something for in the future though,as they are on about releasing games in a download format only
some company is trying it with some dvds
you can pay to download the film the day its released to a pc then a few days later you will get the proper dvd in a case.
i think this method will suck though as id rather have the item ive paid for in my hand than on a hard drive like will happen in the future.

Not sure whether they abandoned the idea or not, but they're still such douches for even considering it.

And don't worry Yankees. The way pricing works itself out you'll probably get the PS3 games for $70. You get everything game related miles cheaper than us Europeans. (Yes I am bitter)

$70 is still way too much. We already pay $60 for a 360 game, which is a $10 jump from regular Xbox games. :mad: Good thing we have Gamefly...
