We had some "problems" earlier with the site.
Users trying to browse our site got the following message:
Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
This means that more people are visiting our site and we had to upgrade our hosting package by using your generous donations. We couldn't have done it without you .
This also means that we unfortunately have to postpone some of our competitions with prizes since we had to pay a lot to upgrade. We will still give out the prize for the review competition and will hold more when we can afford it.
Thank you

Just to re-iterate, we had other ones on the back burner. So keep them reviews coming :D

How much more cash do you need to upgrade?

Just out of curiousity, how much does it cost total to keep the site up monthly? (Not including your time, as we all know how hard it is to put a price on that!)
I don't think Routine is gonna start giving out figures. Just a thought, thats all :p

I was just curious... I've yet to donate any money to the site and would like to do so... I just don't know how much is an appropriate amount?

It's what you think is appropriate :)

been thinking about this a bit, wouldnt it be better to put the site on lockdown? so you have to be a member and signed in to look at the forums etc.. at least that way youll know how many people just float about and i reckon youll get a huge influx of members.. we did it on our old pirate radio site and the members doubled in a few days

Its not member numbers that count- its posting members that count ;)

yeah, i get what your saying mate, i just mean i bet there are 1000's of people who are not members who just browse the site and leech info with nothing in return, that probally helps eat away at that old bandwidth
at least if you get them to sign up, you will get an idea of how many seperate people actually visit the site and might help save some bandwidth by stopping just anyone having a look through links to this site etc
If we create a good enough site, with a good enough community, people will wanna join anyway ;)
The future's exciting for this site, trust me ;) :D

We need people to have ideas so that we can improve. Some will be accepted, some will be thanked for but not used.
This is how the community should work :D
Oh and Minty, I never put that, simply because I knew you'd advertise for your work :p
