the first sign in snowtop village???

hi. ive got 99 fruits and 12 elixers i just cant find the first sign for the sign quest in snowtop village. ive searched all round choms den and just cant seem to spot it. could somone go into a little bit more detail? would be much apreaciated

i must of found it earlier in the game, and then they dissapear

I copy to you (not literally) what a well-known guide says about those signs:

Start at Chom's Den. Read the question mark sign OUTSIDE his house (back his house). It tells you to find the rest of the signs and to start looking at the snobby stall. Next, go up to the shop and look for a question mark sign behind it. The third sign can be found at the base of the Sulfur Cavern, right next to where the plant growing an Elemental Fruit was. The fourth sign is at the base of the mountain that leads up the Crystal Grotto. The final sign is just outside the entrance to the Ice Temple.

Remembers that when a sign is read, this one disappears and appears the following one. So if you do not find first, it tries to look for second, in case you already read the first sign accidentally.
