I've noticed on a few threads whenever anybodies game has glitched or they missed a templar and they dont appear, people have said "Clear your cache and start again". Im often confused by what this means. Does this mean you can keep your save but delete all your additional memories. Or does this mean start a new game and delete your entire save and start again?

There is no way to reset additional memories, other than start a brand new game. So I figure its the start a new game and delete your entire save and start again? -part.

Why would you delete a savegame, if the game only allows one savegame? If you choose "New Game" at the beginning, your previous game will be overwritten...

It deletes all your updates for games, thus making you have to update when you input the disk. I cant see how this would help make their missing templar appear though...It wont be an updates fault..I dont think.

Clearing your cache to see if a templar or a flag appears means clearing your Xbox's cache. It has nothing to do with changing your save file itself. It had something to do with extra data stored on your Xbox... not sure how exactly it helps in AC, but people say it does:
