Which, if you have played both, is better and more fun to play, Condemned or Condemned 2?

Condemned 2 -- more guns/melee weapons = more fun of a game. I still personally think Condemned: CO is better because it was the first.

Condemned 2 i like more in terms of content. hobo fight club was a great addition, like the Theatre mode to Halo3
but Condemned1 was alot scarier imo

You should start with Condemned: Criminal Origins which is better than Bloodshot IMO

Condemned 2 is more refined. More weapons, more ways to kill, better graphics... It's a sequel after all. I haven't finished the second one yet, but the first one was awesome. Get both! Start the with the first, then eventually get the second.

It's really hard to say. I've only played about halfway (if even that) through Condemned 2. So far, the atmosphere has been amazing. I have no complaints whatsoever. There is only one thing that irks me. When a sequel to a game comes out, I would like to be able to relate with prior characters from the original. Rosa just looks too different for me. In the first Condemned, I imagined her as an older lady. In this, she seems way too young. It's weird.

But yeah, that's just a complaint.

In my opinion so far, I like the second more than the first. The multiplayer is useless in my opinion. But meh.

I just enjoy the story and everything about the 'series'. I can't really decide accurately. You have to play through both to get the real feel - and even then, it may be hard to decide.

I like them both. But I feel that Condemned 2 had a lot better content. I mean c'mon, you can pick up toilet seats...

I haven't completely beat it yet though. But the Multiplayer is pretty fun, reminds me of an arcade style battle.

I'm kinda confused at this point why they made Thomas look like SKX from the first one...

If you're choosing between the two titles, pick them both up, and play through so you'll understand the storyline. It will make it a whole lot better.

I prefer the first one in some aspects and I prefer the second in some as well.

In the first I think the atmosphere is done better and gives you a sense of being worried more than the second does.

In the second I like the combo system and more weapon choices to pick up.

Multiplayer is so-so, if it were just single player it would be as close to perfect as possible.

Well they changed his apperance because he's burn out and he's an alcholic thats also why they changed his voice I personally like the new Ethan more, but as for which one is better I would say the first is scarier but the second is a better game overall the only thing that I hate about it is the new look for rosa and SKX and all the stupid multiplayer achievements

I know WHY they changed his appearance. It's just kinda IRONIC that he looks like the first SKX now.

And yeah, they should've left Rosa the way she was. When I saw her I was like "Nah.. can't be.."

I don't mind these multiplayer achievements. I'm having fun getting them. I will have to boost a couple though.

I know I thought it was a new girl till Ethan called her Rosa, then I was like what the hell talk about plastic surgery

i enjoyed the original more.

great, improved graphics on the new installment, and a decent multiplayer. but i bought this game to get the scary feeling the first game left me with, and i didn't get that at all during this game. i mean, you had a gun half the game it seemed like.
don't get me wrong, i did like the second one. but i think the first was better.

i'd def play both because 2 will be better as there are tons of references to the first game. though its story stands on its own also. i actually like the first story better so far but im only in Trenton District but theyre both really good. i'll sell you my criminal origins for 20 bucks shipped if you got paypal:)

Condemned 2 is the more fun game to play but they are both great in their own respects. I couldn't chose a favorite.

Agreed- Condemned CO was a great game that came out of "nowhere" if you will, but truthfully, I think Condemned 2 is much better of a game - storyline more thought out, played better - not only graphically, but also the level of fluidity and interactivity. It felt even more real than Condemned CO, and because of that it was creepier.

Bloodshot, by a landslide.

Though I prefer the CO storyline more I think.

The second one evolves the story from more than just a CSI game. They took the series to a dark way with the cults and the powers, and I think that this is going in the right direction for the final installment. *cough* Condemned 3-2010 *cough* :woop:

Well,I love the multiplayer in Condemned 2! Even after I get 1000/1000,I'm still going to be playing the MP in Condemned 2 over Call of Duty 4. Why? Because Crime Scene rules! Bum Rush is silly,occasionally-I'll-play fun,and Deathmatches are crazy, morbid fun. However,Crime Scene is just...in a word, spectacular. Seriously,we ALL need a break from Halo 3 and CoD 4,am I right? ;)

Im not really pumped about the new one, I mean its not terrible but the first one was so innovative and the better one IMO. Besides, you can grab the first condemned for 16 dollars new at some wal marts and targets.

the first condemned is a helluva lot more scarier than the second... but the second is also nice because its more fleshed out as far as gameplay... story wise though the first condemned is much better because it was so open ended... the second condemned the story gave away too much hence it wasnt as scary by the end when you had a shit load of guns and your extra powers.. all in all the first was better in my opinion...

condemned 2 was more fun to play with all the action combos and stuff but a better game would go to the first one

Condemned because of the scarier scenery. The mannequins especially!!

I liked the first one better. Don't get me wrong, I love the second one also, but I like the first better by a bit.

A couple things that pissed me off about the second is they changed the voices, and no rebar concrete for a weapon. That was the best damn weapon ever.

I agree with you. The second game is more "fun" to play. The first game was more immersive and scarier. For those who are too "tough" to get scared, I mean the game gave you the helpless feeling of being underequipped while facing raving psychopaths. That and the jump-out scares and crime scene moments made the game absolutely chilling. The second has less of that, and instead makes Ethan a virtual badass with combos and chain attacks.

I will agree that the rebar/concrete was amazing, but remember... we are treated to the bowling ball this time around which is it's equal, not to mention the driveshaft and stanchion. ;)

I know what you mean about the feeling of being helpless of the first game. That was what I loved about it. And about the bowling ball, I agree. It is an awesome weapon.
