Well for those of you who have been scared for the past day how is it? Keeping you up at night? haha. I was a big fan of the first one and loved the twist at the end. The first was scary but made me want to play it more and more as those creatures jumped out of those lockers. But i want to know what you guys think about the second installment. Give me your opinion please.

It's a wonderful game! Best game I've touched in a long time.

Its better than the original imo, played it offline mostly so far but I dont understand how game places gave it a WORSE score than the original when they clearly stated it had improved in all respects? Buy 4 sho

the single player is awesome from what i've seen so far
the multiplayer is crap from what i can tell but maybe i'll get into it sometime
at least they included a multiplayer because the single player game stands on it's own

Meh, I haven't actually played it yet so I could be wrong, but I hate it when designers tack MP onto a great single player experience as an afterthought ala The Darkness. I just think it detracts from the sweetness of the game overall.

Edit: woot 200 posts! (chug chug...) :woop::p

I must say that the Single Player is an overall great experience. The gameplay is really good. The online is total crap. I wish that they had more single player achievements and less multiplayer.

Just an FYI on the Multiplayer. (I haven't played it) But I remember hearing talk that the MP portion was just used as a test area for the fighting when they were making the game. The devs really liked it so they included it in the final game as the multiplayer portion.

Condemned 1 was pretty good on PC. But i thought it sucked on Xbox..

Now Condemned 2 is really good on Xbox (single player). One of the best 360 games i've ever played...(im sure its AMAZING on PC)

I finally played it online today and my friend says, "it doesn't look that good.." So i continued to give it a chance and did alot of trash talk to ante up the fun factor a little bit.

Right now im in the damned Doll Factory with headphones on...kinda creepy...

Great game, but they seemed to have taken out some of the horror and replaced it with better fighting and graphics

Condemned 2 is a great game so don't get me wrong, but for me Condemned: Criminal Origins was a way better game than the second one. First of all Condemned was more scary, more dark and had a way better looking and design levels. When i was playing Bloodshot i had only two moments that really make my hart pumping blood faster and in the first Condemned i was scared like hell, i was afraid even to blink my eyes. Bloodshot is still a good game but everything is a little bit weaker than it was in the first one. The story isn't that great either.

I actualy jumped twice while playin so far, and i usualy never jump on games or movies.

I love this game so much, and i loved the first one too. However, they are different games, the first one was alot more scary, but for me, it was scary because i had not seen anything like that before ever on a video game. Now in my mind, the dev's knew they couldnt just redo what made the first game scary because it wouldnt work again since we were ready for it.

They had to come up with a different take on the game... and thats what i call the "Fucked Up Factor". The first game was scary, "ooh somthing jumped out at me, i just pooped my self" This game is "I just took some bad acid, and my friends keep jumping out at me, and showing me pictures of the devil to fuck with my brain, While im being attacked by tar people"

For me, both of these approaches work, but im a 28 year old playing on a 50" LCD with 7.1 Surround sound, in the dark, at midnight, in my sound proof basement, with the bass jacked and the volume stupidly loud. It has me on edge, but im fully immersed in the game, because i want the whole experience like it was supposed to be done. The kids playing at 2pm on their 19" tv on their moms bed, just dont get the same experience as me, and they say it sucks.

some of the animations where you climb over things. Or get choke slammed by someone, reminds me of this OLLLD game on Original Xbox called "BREAKDOWN".

And i used to LOVE that game! I'm happy with this.

I disagree with several of the statements saying that the first one was scarier, or better - I think this one surpasses the groundwork that CO origionally layed. It flows better, feels more like r/l, and because of this, because extremely creepy. The story is extremely well layed out, and the gameplay is, as always, fun.

Hope it helps

Well for the ones that said that this one isn't as scary as the first could possibly have to do with the fact that we have kinda all been through those scary moments before so we have alittle more experience with them haha. Being in that dark room with the lights flickering and creatures running around while its 2 a.m with the lights off in your house and its raining outside but it still scares the heck out of ya everytime haha.

Very good game on the campaign side. Ok game on the multiplayer side. If you liked the original Condemned, you will not go wrong with this one....

There are only really two things I could say to make the campaign better (besides changing the strange ending and last level)

1) Around mission 4 or 5, insert a few more levels where you just beat down bad guys and do forensics minigames similar to mission 2: Preston Hotel. That was a quality level. The forensics were very well done on this mission, I just wish there was more of that. (And more brutal combat of course)

2) Have more scary parts throughout the game and a lot in the previously mentioned extra levels. Jump at you moments like in the original Condemend when you're in the office building where if you peer over the banister a thug jumps up at you. (totally didn't expect that and I dropped my controller when it happened) Basically more parts like that. Possibly another run-for your-life part like the beginning of Black Lodge, that was intense.

If the campaign had those two things covered, I would give the game a 9.5 rating. As it stands, I'm inclined to give it 8.5-9.0 IMO.

I still haven't played the first one yet but the second one really looks good; graphics and gameplay wise.
