View Full Version : Delayed Until April 4th

Now before I get flamed for this being a new thread aside from the delayed thread already made, I thought I'd post it separately since the site does have some credibility...


Previously scheduled for release on the 11th of March, PlayFrance is now reporting that Sega has delayed the game further, pushing back the release to April 4th. With the demo for the game having also having been pushed back and now with no final release date of it's own, it isn't difficult to see how the final game is not ready for release. Plus, the demo's delay is not the only sign of minor hang-ups, as the latest dev diary discusses the fact that the game has not gone to final certification due to a host of factors including, but not limited to, feature-creep. With the dev diary still listing the game as hitting the 11th, having been posted on the 7th, and discussing the fact the game hits "next month" there is still some question as to the official release date. But with both PlayFrance and Amazon listing the game as hitting on April 4th, it's possible that this title is condemned to hit late.

Yeah, it's like that with every game, including Halo 2... That game was still delayed...

Yeah, it's like that with every game, including Halo 2... That game was still delayed... I'll be laughing when this game appears on my gamercard tomorrow. It's not delayed man. Don't listen to news like that unless it's something TRULY official like teamxbox,IGN,etc.

I'm not saying I'm right... I'm just posting what was posted... It probably will appear on it. Read the end of the news report... It says 'possibly'.

I went out and checked my local Best Buy and Target for the game, neither had it. I went home and checked amazon.com, and they said the game was released today, but they wouldn't have it in stock until the 13th. Goddamn, I hope it doesn't get delayed until the 4th of April. I've been playing the first in anticipation for this game, and I need Condemned 2, right now.

Its delayed in PAL land... ntsc is fine... end of story....

What he said my store already had it since Sunday, but it was delayed in Europe I believe maybe thats what the article was about.

Yeah, well I've currently got it on my lap so disregard this for the US release, though I'm not sure about the European release.

I have it too. I also heard that it's region free. So UK can still pick up a copy online instead of waiting.

Go ahead and look at mine too! I've been playing it for the past two and a half hours.
In the report it said the following: "...it's possible that this title is condemned to hit late."

Just an FYI, some stores do not get receive the game until the next day. For instance, my store(I work at Target so this would go for all Target's, not just the one I work at) receives all new games on Wednesday around like noon or 1 because the Tuesday date is the shipping date.
