My friend wants to sell the game for £15 but i've heard that once you've completed this game it's really boring and starting again is too much the same. For £15 i could buy Oblivion or i cud spend a bit extra and buy devil may cry 4; so i dno has any 1 got any ideas on what i shd do???

It is repetitive and not a lot of fun. For 15 dollars definitely worth it though.

Well, while playing and shortly after playing the game I thought it was well worth the money.
But now, when I see it sitting on my shelf with three inches of dust and no desire to play it again any time soon, I sort of wish I bought something else, rented it, or waited until it was cheaper.
You can get 1000 gamerscore and do everything the game has to offer in about a week assuming you don't mess up your playthrough.
After that week you may likely never play it again so I think you understand what you should do.
Eh... forgot you said you could get it for 15 pounds.
If that's only a little bit more expensive than renting it, you might as well buy it and then even trade it in later which may have a net cost of less than a rental and probably more play time.

15 pounds is around 30 dollars right? And that's half the price, I suppose?
I'd definitely get it. As long as it's in good condition. If you haven't played it yet, you'll be shocked at how much fun it is. I love the game, I've played through it a couple of times, and I plan on playing through it again sometime within the next couple of weeks.

It really depends how much you get into it.. i didn't realize how to view maps and other things you get from stealing from people until my 7th assassination, and it makes a load of a difference. So, you go through the first time, getting the more annoying achievements like the flags, templars, full DNA... High points.. and then if you liked it, you could play it again, getting more into the story, getting conversationalist, and really getting into becoming an assassin.. try doing all of your asassinations like a true assassin, and not getting caught or challenging yourself to other things that aren't achievements... It really depends on your approach to the game, if you take it as purely a somewhat challenging 1k, and nothing else, then you won't have that much fun.. but if you take it like an assassin game, and the 1k as a fun bonus, then you'll have lots of fun. It really depends on how much you plan on getting your self into it..

It's Euros bud, but it is worth it anyway. I think it is quite cool actually.

If 15 pounds is 30 dollars don't buy it. You will play it for a week and will want to burn it in a fire. Buy Oblivion. Now. Its the greatest game in existence. If you get the game of the year edition it has around 700 hours of gameplay where as off the top of my head i think assassins creed would be around 35 hours. Theres just not much to it and the ending will piss you off.

Wow, you're the first somewhat intelligent sounding person I've heard say that... well I thought you were somewhat intelligent until you did say that.
The ending is absolutely incredible, it opens so many doors for the next game!
This storyline is the best of any game on the 360 so far, without a doubt.
There's a website that has a page or article type thing about what all the secret e-mails and symbols on the wall mean... it's mindblowing.

It depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for an easy 1000, then this probably isn't going to be the game. If you are looking for a fun game, and it sounds up your ally, then go for it. I would suggest renting it first, if possible.

Btw, just because its 15 euros doesn't mean its like 30 bucks to us.. Trust me, i've been to Britain, games there are 55 pounds.. they get about the same pay, maybe a little less, then americans, but in pounds instead.. the 2 dollars = 1 euro doesn't go into the equation.. that 15 euros is more like 17 dollars.. and that, is a wonderful deal.

If you can beat it within 3 weeks, you should be able to get damn close to getting all your money back through Ebay.

It picked it up used at Gamestop for $45 a few weeks ago... it was fun, but I'm glad I didn't pay $60 for it new. It was just too repetitive, and there really wasn't enough variety in how you could do the assassinations.
I just finished it today, and I got 800/1000 GS. I missed the conversationalist achievement, and I don't see myself playing through again for it, and I'm not even remotely interested in wasting my time finding all the flags & killing all the templars. In short, there's a very slim to none chance I'll ever play it again. Does anyone know if Ubisoft has any DLC planned? If yes, I might hang onto it, if not, it's going back to Gamestop next time I pick up a game.

I got every achievement except all the Flags. I do have all the Flags in the beginning area, Masyaf or something?
Anyway, the Templars was at least worth it going through. I tried finding flags in all other places, but I wanted to kill myself. Everytime I would be missing 1 or 2 out of 100.
But overall, it was a game I rented from Gamefly, and I'm glad I didn't buy it. Replay value is very low, as the game becomes repetitive after the 3rd mission, maybe not even that far into it.
Buy Oblivion or Mass Effect.

Yes, it's worth it.

Its pounds sterling, not euros guys ;)
I got mine for £25 new which is definately great value. You probs won't want to replay it straight after though - get conversationalist and note down which flags/templars you get or get them all at once.
Get it, 1000 it in one playthrough (I can get all but conversationalist in one, its easy), if you think you'll play it again great, if not you'll easily make a tenner on ebay, so a fiver is amazing value :P

First playthrough is great fun, but its hard to make yourself go through it again for a couple of achievements... meh. One thing i really hate about it is the dam flags and templars, cant see me ever doing them.

Just buy it off your mate, complete it in a week, then sell it for about the same as you bought it then buy Oblivion.

Yea sorry I didn't explain myself quite right. The ending is great for a trilogy. But based on this game alone it sucks. Basically unless the prologue in the second is the ending of the first every person who buys Assassins Creed 2 will also have to buy the first. I didn't like the ending because the game is way too much a set up than an ending which will suck. And if you notice trilogies in games don't work out too well. Because that turns new fans to buy the first. All multi installment series usually have nothing to do with each other. GTA, Rainbow Six, COD for examples they have references to eachother but are not directly related.

If you want a good offline action game with easy achievements pick it up. It has good graphics and controls. The downside is the story gets very repetitive, so the game is good in small doses.
The game has a great plot as well. I have not dug too far into it but it has a lot of surprises and will eventually turn into a sequel.
You can get 1000 in the game in one playthrough, just make sure to go for conversationalist achievement and use our guide and maps for tricky parts and for finding the collectibles.
Overall if you want a game that will gove you more replay and bang for your bucks go get Mass Effect where every decision you make affects the game.

Whoa Vista, double post much? :p
I really should go back and finish this game off. I've gotten too addicted to Call of Duty online.

I enjoyed the free roaming and free running aspect of Assassins Creed, just not much else, im a role playing gamer myself and was looking for a fun game. It was for awhile but then i lost intrest and have just forgotten about it, i was dissapointed init, but if your an action gamer then im sure theres enough to keep you around for the full game.
