Port Royal Trouble

I suppose I'm the only one who's having this problem, so I'm feeling like a complete noob, but this is bugging the hell out of me. The sixth Periwig is supposed to be behind the stairs after you finish the first hand to hand duel. I've tried this like 20 different ways, but for some reason I just can't find it. Help? Thanks.

It's been a LONG time since I played this game, please keep that in mind.

Port Royal is broken into two sections (I think) and once you move into the next section you can not return to the previous one. I believe it says this in the achievement guide/discussion thread.

I do not remember any of these collectable items being dropped, Most are visible on the ground on in chests. I remember one wig being in a small area that dead ends, and you have to fight 2-4 people in this area. There is a small set of stairs (leading nowhere) and I think the wig is near them. I wish I could be more specific as to the location but here goes...

...this room is at the end on a road, like a main street, that's lined with shops and houses. I think it is at the end on the left and I remember something about meeting somebody there that opens the door for you (that part is a bit fuzzy).

If I were you I'd double check the guide and read all the pertinent threads for tips.

I just finished Port Royal about 15 minutes ago and got all of periwigs no problem. Like Arrow said just open every chest, some of them kind of blend in. The toughest one to get is #7 as you have to keep both people alive with a continuous fight going on.

Hm, I'm a little confused to say the least. Before you guys replied I decided to move on to the final spot in Port Royal. And just now I read both of your replies and I now realize IGN mislead me in their guide. They said that the 7th wig was actually the 6th, and I suppose their 6th doesn't really exist. :confused: I dunno I'm very confused but all that matters is that I got the achievement. Thank you both for helping me out. Most appreciated. :rock
