The game keeps a record of how long you play (I think it's per saved game). I just beat it and it took almost 22 hours of playing time to get the 650/1000. However, I suck ... I mostly just took my time going through it. I'm sure it could be done in much less than 10 hours.

My playtime to completely finish the solo mode (for 650 points) was something like 30 hours. But I'm the type who usually likes to explore everything thoroughly and find all the hidden stuff myself. If you used a guide or FAQ, you could easily do it much faster. And the main game is never horribly frustrating or repetative, unlike some other games. Definitely a good amount of points for the time it takes. But a lot of the reason I was so happy with this game has nothing to do with gamerscore...
It reminds me so much of those great Rareware platformers from N64. The kind of game we haven't seen released since around the turn of the century. That and, yes, it also reminds me a lot of Zelda. Two things which make this game incredibly fun and immersive to play. It was a welcome change from a lot of my other XB360 games. Ones where I was screaming my head off, doing the same thing over and over again, just to get missing achievement points. It was nice to just sick back and truly enjoy a game again (and 650 points was a nice icing on the cake).

I totally agree about the Rareware platformers from N64 comment; those were my favorite types of games and they just completely disappeared. I'm hoping that the third Banjo-Kazooie game they're working on will be out soon and also be reminiscent of their old titles. Hopefully after that they will try and get more of these types of games out (a sequel to Conker and Jet Force Gemini are musts)

I completed it doing the bare minimum and got 600/1000. It took 7 hours.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I thought Jet Force Gemini was awesome, and it's nice to find someone that agrees. It's the kind of game that could do well in today's landscape, since it combines platformer with third-person shooter (to a degree). Especially with the mindset of a lot of developers, that xbox games need to have action and guns... there's a Rareware game that already has them. But ah, we can dream, I guess. I'm just eager for the new Banjo game, whenever we finally get it. That and/or Conker.

Wow. I haven't heard of many liking Jet Force Gemini. I personally LOVED that game but couldn't find anyone else who liked it.

["Offtopic"]I can't find words to describe how much I loved JFG, awesome singleplayer and multiplayer with lots of variety and stuff to add replay value. Something that most games lack these days.
I've tried to replay it on emulator but havent found any that would run it without gfx glicthes. :(
Give us XBLA Jet Force Gemini with Live Multiplayer, that would be enough for me to turn this silvery account to golden. ;) [/"offtopic"]
Kameo is ~30 hours of adventure that reminds of Rare platformers and Zelda you say... and I haven't bought it for god knows what reason, I must go to the store tomorrow!

Kameo was a good game and is worth playing. Can't remember how long it took but I remember enjoying it.

I don't understand how people have managed to put so many hours to playtrought. I cleared the story in 8 hours and now the clock says around 12 hours after 4 A ranks and collecting every Elemental Fruit etc.
Must have been the shortest game I've played in a while and it wasn't really that good either even tho I'm fanatic Rare fan.
Those 300 points some people lack arent that hard once you understand the score system.
