I think that you guys should make a feedback system. Where you can give good rep to a person you had a good time playing with, and bad rep to bad people.
This will clear out people who get their achievements and then leave and will clear out snotty people.
Thanks, Rocky

I second that.

I also agree with that idea. I also think you should give an award or something to people who help a lot with achievements from the site. You could tie that in with the feedback system, if that is possible. Just an idea! Keep up the awesome work with the site!

You might just end up with people giving bad reps to people in arguements etc and friends just giving good reps without earning it. This was a good idea that we were kicking around the subscriber forum but I think it died. Personally I support this, just thought I would let you knew why it will get struck down. No new awards for this will be made, that is for sure.

Funny you should mention this self proclaimed good idea, it's being talked about in the subscriber forum right now. We'll probably have something like it implemented in the future. ;)

There have been systems like this on other forums I've been on, and while it's good in theory it turns into a mess.
People start making new accounts to give themselves good feedback, and people who hold grudges give bad feedback to the people they don't like for whatever reason.
It also becomes a popularity contest and personally, I start holding back my opinion because I'm afraid of being knocked down a point or two.
I think a better idea would be to make a thread, on the first post you find the person's name and beside it they have x's for every time they bail out from boosting.
So if someone bails out on you, you post in that thread and they get an x.
There shouldn't be checkmarks or anything, because I believe you should just trust a person... unless they have that x.
If someone didn't boost much they'd have no checkmarks so they may get passed by, which isn't fair.
But yeah the idea would mean that if you find someone who wants to boost, you go to that thread and look up their name to see if you want to bother.

Wouldn't this be the same thing as the Karma system that I've seen proposed at least twice within the month I've been here? It's also been dismissed however many times I've seen it.

Example:
Blackmagic
11months
I can send out 60 feedbacks this month (5 per month and starting with 5)
Or the amount could depend on your rank.

Kind of like at MusiciansForums.com, you can pos or neg someone's rep only just so often (I believe you have to rep 10 or more other users before you can go back to that person). The aforementioned in conjunction with a "one rep per specific time period" rule would improve it quite a bit.
I'm for this idea, but we've always got the rep stars on our GamerCards (though this excludes us Silver people :p).

Amen to that.

No it would be like ebay in my opinion. It shows how many neg. feedbacks you have and how many positive ones you have....I played with some snobby people on here once and I feel bad for the people that will play with them next.
I mean this feature is used a lot. Look at xbox 360 (But its not perfect)

I had this idea months ago then a week ago someone made a suggestion about it and now you. It won't work. People would gang up on people and it just would not work.

Yes but your friends think your a good person. And if your argueing you diserve to get negative rep. Thats what rep is for, if you do something bad (argueing) you will get negative rep.
And Otisbum-
The xbox 360 stars are stupid. You can have 5 stars even if you've been prefered only 3 times, and not prefered 10,000 times. You wont go down stars, just up stars.

You probably gave 2 horrible examples that is about to prove my point. If you have ever listened to Major Nelson's podcast, he had a guy who is in charge of the repping and complaints for XBL. He even admits that this has flaws. People bad rep you when they lose, when you own them, and many more reasons. These feedback systems are a waste; if you stay around the forums, you will get to know the people and their true personality. That's all I care about.
Also, ebay is a totally different example. There is a need for a feedback system there. You may be cheated out of your money or the item you won, so people need to understand that he/she is not a good seller and should not partake in this person's ruse. x360a is just a forum, if we make it like ebay or xbl, then be prepared to see new accounts formed, nonactives, and POed people.

eBay is a terrible system though. If someone is awful at buying or selling, and you give them bad feedback - they give you bad back no matter how good you were.
