I can't beat the game without dying,(I HATE THIS GAME!)

I hope no one gets pissed at me for posting this BS thread but I just want to let the x360a community know that this game is the biggest piece of garbage out there. This game is worse that king kong, worse than Super man, worse than At Worlds End!! I would rather play a burger king game. This is the most frustrating, annoying game ever. The game play is border line retarded.

It's an easy 950 but as far as beating the game without dying, I've been trying to get that one for hours. The game is really short and getting to the last level is a breeze but the last level is literally driving me insane, why else would I be putting this in our forums. If anyone has any advice for me on a strategy on how to do this please let me know I must be missing something.

I would appreciate any advice and to conclude I can't stress enough, do not, I repeat do not buy this game, you will regret it big time. You might as well throw your money in the dumpster where this game belongs.

I'm just going for my second play right now. I also breezed to the last level my first go and then ran into a bit of resistance. Basically, follow strict patterns and take enemies one at a time. If you have a somewhat large group, run away from them and one might run a bit faster. Target that one and give him a combo, then run away again.

As for Sam Jackson, you can do the same combo on him every single time, though each phase is a different combo. Figure out which side he is open for the first hit, then after that, each side is the same so just repeat the same combo, run away and get him to face you again, then rinse and repeat.

But you're right, this game is fucking awful.

EDIT: Just finished and got 1000. Not too bad if you just repeat combo and hit them with a power move when possible. :)

I also agree that this game was crap and i just finished it last night. A little tip for the final boss is to fill up your green power bar and i believe he is usually open on his left side (which is X I believe). From there just do Left bumper and X and he will do his power move or whatever its called it will take his health down quicker. When you have no bar left, do it all again and repeat and he will be down in no time.

If his buddies come down after you, take them out quickly and go back to him.

If you die turn off the console then restart and when you finish the game you'll get the achievement it worked for me :)

I can't even get past the 2 guys that you fight in the eygpt thing after the 3 women in the little room. I just see to get so much health taken off me so easily. Maybe it's me that's more retarded than the game.

Pressing start and quitting did NOT work for me, although it could've been a glitch like everything else in the game.
However I did not like the idea of abruptly turning off my xbox because that cant possibly be good for its life span so what i did is simply quit to the dashboard whenever I died and I got the achievement that way.

[Method]

I have an idea, if I am close to dying, but haven't yet, can I pause quit and restart the level. I know I lose all progress for that level, but at least I don't have to do the whole game again. Does anyone know if this works?

Edit: It works!! I know this game is glitchy though and some have claimed to have gotten Hard Target even after dying, but I got it using the following method:

Fight your way through the game as normal, if you think at some point you're going to die, press start then quit (before you die!!). In the main menu press continue. In some levels you'll even start out at a check point and not the beginning of the level!

Yes, the dashboard techinique definitely works. I used it 3 or 4 times going for the "no dying" achievement.

As you say, this game was great up until the last level...why is Sam so powerful?? o.O no dying is just not going to happen is it?

My biggest frustration is that the camera keeps shifting which means A front attack may change to an X front attack....because the camera moved ever so slightly...and as this guy can kill in a single combo, it sucks...

My advice would be to get used to doing combos in the green areas of enemies/bosses, I died a lot when all I did was random button mashing, that doesn't work apparently. As for the bosses, they're easy but they require some patience and concentration, I got the achievement in my 2nd playthrough btw. All I did was, I combo Samuel once, and when he falls to the ground, I slide away from him. Then when he gets up, I run towards him, and find the perfect moment to initiate the perfect combo, a combo that ends with Y, a combo that'll make the boss lie on the ground, then I slide away again until he gets up. Just repeat that, it worked for me, btw I never got the hang of using that green bar power combo thing, I beat the game the 2nd time forgetting that it was even there, I ended up getting the record time achievement, and the not dying achievement together in the end. As for Roland, I did the exact same thing I did with Samuel, the only problem I had were the enemies that appeared from the door during the fight, I ended up beating Roland and I only used one life bottle, with another to spare. Just give the game some time, don't attempt to rush it, and practice doing perfect and proper combos that end with Y. I know it sucks, but try and get used to the combos and be patient... :)
