Anybody else having trouble with Grendel Song?

I cannot seem to perfect this song... been trying for more than an hour now. When it says Perfect Grendel Song does it mean never miss a single note from beginning of the song to the end? Also, when does the achievement unlocked message come up if I did this correctly?

Edit: Got it about 10 tries after I wrote this. This was by far one of the hardest achievements for me in this game.

Got it on my second go... the rhythm changes a few times throughout the song and caught me out besides, think its a funny song... should rip it to MP3 :p

I got it within my first 3 tries. I found it pretty easy- just press x on the circles and hold y on the long notes.

Took me a while to figure out what I was doing wrong. But if you are missing a lot of "X" notes, make sure you just barely tap x and immediately release. I was holding mine a little to long.

i think there are five or six "verses". The ones that change tempo are the third and the second to last (could be fourth or fifth). My suggestion is when you get to a new "verse" just listen to it and die and listen to it a couple more times dying within that "verse". This is so you don't have to play through the first verses over and over again to learn the later ones. I also somewhat recommend turning your sound down low and not paying too much attention to the beat in those weird "verses". I say somewhat because it can really mess you up or it can really help you. I got the achievement by playing through a couple of times with sound and then turning it off. The sound just seemed to keep messing me up on those off beat "verses". Best advice though is to keep trying.

I;m having a hell of a time getting it but I know I can, effin a, I got it just after this, I was also holding the X button too long. AAAAHHHH!

First try. Easiest achievement in the game, at least for me. I don't get why you have trouble with it, honestly. Try indeed to only tap X very quickly and don't focus your eyes, like when you're daydreaming and by fixing one point you kinda see everything else, you know what I mean ? So put your eyes on the upper part of the "wheel' thingie, but try to watch the whole thing. Don't focus your eyes too much so you will see what's coming. English isn't my first language so sorry if I am not clear enough :)

Its really all about timing. Took me 4 tries but finally got it. Darn button pushing mini games!
