I didn't see this posted anywhere else on the forum...

At this time this petition has 125 sigs... I know that T2 declined the offer but this doesn't hurt.

You could always start buying T2 stock and raise the price...

I just noticed the link in the comments on the frontpage...

But at the end of the day, Take Two is financial rocky at current time and EA sleep on wads of cash every night, so I fear this being a certainty

I do invest in T2 stock, I have for a while now...

And if this comes down to a shareholders vote I will vote no.

I do agree with you to some extent, but with the loans they have taken out and the games that are coming out this year EA is jumping on them before they have the chance to get stable and they're trying to cash in on said games.

I hope T2 continues to decline their offers, but only time weill tell.

I would just hate to see a GTA2010, GTA2011, GTA 2012 etc. :(

Totally agree.

Just to be clear as well, I'm one of the biggest GTA fanboys out and fear the effect this move will have on my beloved series and am totally on your side. But I just can't see this ending well. But there is one thing I do know and that's so long as R* North stick around as a crew, then there will always be GTA games of that quality :)

I hope it didn't sound like I was attacking you. lol

It's just shitty imo, for some reason I just have a bad feeling.

And even if R* does stay together if the merger goes through EA still has final word on what they do. If anything I hope other companies get into the mix and bid on T2.

I'm currently listening to the Conference call from this afternoon with EA and even the analysts don't sound like they agree with the merger based on some of the questions they're asking.

lol Nah it didn't. I just felt the need to show my love for the GTA series :p

Well, hopefully, this is just EA trying to flex their financial muscles and Take Two are strong enough to resist.

im probably the only one going to so they should merge. EA has so much money, that can only benefit T2. plus it will still be the same people working on the games its not like they were be replaced.
its not like GTA games come out once in a blue moon, this will be what, the 8th or 9th GTA games?
i love GTA, i really hope the new one will be more along the lines of vice city and not san andreas, vice city raped.

Just like many others, I also love the GTA series while also craving IV. Also like others, I really hope this deal does not go through. They must give GTA IV a chance to succeed and make them some money before they give in to EA. However, despite the possible change to EA, I still think the GTA would not change much, but I feel that they shouldn't try to fix something that isn't broken.

Dude, its not about what game they're on.They are that far along because GTA is released like, every 2-3 years and have been so since the original playstation. However, take the maden series into your thoughts there. They are put out once a year, have been put out that way for 20 or so years, before i was born anyways. How many times has the gameplay changed?Besides adding the (optionally controlled) QB vision and updating graphics every so often, how much has changed to that series?Exactly.Almost nothing.

If T2 sells out to EA, there wont be quality GTA games in my opinion.I fear the same for Mass Effect now since EA has also bought out Bioware. But you never know....sometimes EA puts out some quality games....

If Take Two do fall to the twisted wretches at EA then they should at least force Rockstar to split off so that they can save GTA by working with someone else.

Less competition means less effort on the part of EA, I think everyone can agree to that. They don't put much effort in Madden games anymore, but yet they still do in the NHL games, because both EA and 2k make NHL games.

If (more likely when) this eventually goes through...I have no idea how it will effect the GTA series, but there's no way that it could help, in my opinion.

Well, as long as they dont start ending game series, I'm fine with the fact that Take Two was mostly obligated to take the offer.... :(

Also, a petition cant stop a company from taking a huge wad of cash.... a corrept politician maybe, but not a company sale. We the users have no effect on their decissions. :grab
