So it Looks like Microsoft has finally announced what it's Exclusive DLC deal w/ Rockstar really means, according to Microsoft each episode of DLC content will be equal to the games San Andreas and Vice City for Ps2/Xbox. They have also stated that Digital Downloads will be the new way to deliver the GTA "Expansions."

So it looks like with this new announcement if you were planning on playing the Vice City/San Andreas versions of GTA IV the 360 is the Definitive version to get, with the first expansion arriving as early as Fall this year and the next one to follow-up in 2009.

GTAIV DLC

* When MS says exclusive, they mean that no other system can have DLC content for GTAIV
* It will be bigger than a lot of people think. GTA3 Vice City and San Andreas were basically expansions of GTA3. Think of the DLC that way. We are talking major expansion for GTAIV
* No price has been discussed yet. It’s up to Rockstar on whether or not they will charge for it
* If successful, DLC may be the new way to deliver GTA expansions

Shit this will surely suck up a lot of memory on the old hard drive but I do think its awesome. I hope they add another countryside in it, I used to love buning about on an off road bike through the forests and farmlands.

Wow that is really good news for everyone. It adds a lot more replay value to the game (as if it didn't already). Memory will be a question, but I am sure they will make it small enough so that all episodes can fit on the HDD at once...well, hopefully because then I am just going to have to buy the bigger hard drive.

Hopefully this will also mean added achievements. I'll be buying them anyway, though...as long as it's not too expensive.

Damn this is excellent. If this is true then no price tag will keep me back. I'm sure they'll have to add more points but with the size of that content they should muster out an extra 1000!

This game is going to be s amazing and well worth the wait!

Dude, are they making like a Boston or a Philly add on? Because I would pay 30 bucks for one of those cities and countryside.

I think they'd have a Northern New Jersey add-on before they had either of those, considering it's right across the Hudson....but they're not having that either. lol. It'll probably just be an extension of Liberty City, not based on any other city.

Northern New Jersey FTW. But they already have a New Jersey suburb area in the map renamed Alderney.

And do they really? I had no idea about that.

Yeah if you go to the site (http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/) click until you get to the outline of the map, and go over to the left large island. It will say Alderney and the caption will mention the suburbs. It only makes sense anyway since the only suburb of the city is Jersey. There is also the "Booth Tunnel", referring to the Lincoln/Holland Tunnel.

Makes perfect sense to me. Good thinking.

Comparing pictures of the Lincoln tunnel, Lincoln Tunnel, and Booth Tunnel, they even look like they've influenced the design a lot. Looks like they took the design of the entrance to Lincoln and the decline towards the entrance of Holland and combined them.

For anyone who would like to compare, here are some pictures:

Haha, it just looked familiar so I decided to see if maybe the real-life tunnels influenced the design. I think that what I posted clearly adds to the evidence that it is New Jersey.
