Ok, Here it goes.
For the last few months I have been brainstorming ideas to make the site better and hopefully some of these can be implemented, if there resonable.
1. A monthly magazine or newsletter via email. I think this would be a great way to publicize the site and make it more well known, as well as a great add on for all the wonderful members.
2. There should be a feature that shows you which news topics you have posted in under the "Five latest news items". You could make a small cross similar to the ones in the forums that designate that you have posted in a certain forum or it could be completely different, maybe a logo, something that doesnt look tacky when you visit the main page. This could also be developed by the x360a graphic team.
3. You all know the xbox 360 at the top of the home page, well i think that we should have a clickable link on the circle (When the lights show up), possibly to xbox.com. Regardless of what it is, i believe that part of the xbox should become a button/link as it is the main feature of the xbox and the first thing that you recognize when you see a 360.
4. The ability to quote (no multi quote) on the news and updates, etc.
I have much more ideas although I cant think of all of them right now because i didnt write them down. I will edit later.

A newsletter would be nice. It would be even better if we could subscibe to a magazine that was send in the mail. I would most defenetly pay 30-50 a year for a magazine.

1 has been suggested and discussed a little bit, and I'd love to see it.
No comment on 2, I'm on the fence.
I'd like 3, even though it's just as easy to type in xbox.com. ;)
@antnie: The problem with a tangible magazine, is that there simply isn't enough man power and resources to be able to pull something like that off on a monthly basis, a newsletter every now and then would be a much better alternative.

Magazine companies have full office buildings dedicated to putting them on newstands...this site, however, doesn't.

Thats why the monthly newsletter sent via email might be a better alternative

Number 1 idea as said has already been brought up and while it is a decent idea its hard to accomplish and its being worked.
Number 2 idea we already have, its under your little link bar and it says new posts. That is virtually the same thing as you were saying except it has everyones posts instead of yours.
Number 3 idea, well I like it but it shouldn't be a link to xbox.com It could be a link however to our leaderboards or something new that we have yet to think of. This was a really good idea and i like it.

Hey thanks for the positive feedback, Sorry i didnt know about the magazine already being mentioned. Was it the magazine that was only mentioned or was it the newsletter as well?
Also, I know we have comments on the news and what not, but this feature (2) would allow you to see which news topics you have commented on, so you dont have always go and see if you have commented and search for your comment.

It actually was only a newsletter not a magazine, but considering the magazine is pretty impossible I disregarded it.
I didn't say NEWS POSTS I said NEW POSTS. Its right under the donate button. Click it and you'll see what I mean.

Ok right now it says Halo 3 valetines track list, xbox live members get a virtual tour, ea announces C&C: Red alert three. That is what i'm talking about. Next to those, there would be a + if you have posted in it or not, or a deisgned logo to look better opn the homepage which could be designed by out Graphic team

As Parker said (right above me and then a few times before as well) the idea is that when you post in a current thread inside the forums you see something similar to this.
http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff46/drhalobucket2/Picture2-1.png
Notice the small + on the far left and above/next to the small x360a logo. This denotes that you have posted inside said thread. After posting inside a news report Parker wants a small + to show up in the same place to show that you have already made a comment inside the news article.
http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff46/drhalobucket2/Picture3-2.png
Notice the small x360a logo on the left, after posting it won't have a small + on the left.
Personally there are few enough news posts that you should be aware of which ones you have already commented on. I don't think it is necessary but others may disagree.

Thank you, i dont have a pc and sometimes my apple hates me and wont allow me to do certain things, anyways, it was just an idea, also it owuldnt be the + because that would look tacky it would be something else, and it would also be for all the achievement updates and contests, etc. below

A newsletter would be pretty cool. You just have to find someone who's dedicated enough to keep doing it for a loooong time without getting bored from it.

It takes time, people, and resources to produce a full-blown magazine. It just isn't feasible. I agree that a newsletter would be a good addition to the site though.
