Does anyone have a strategy for Sanctus? Drives me so mad the way he retreats after losing his shield, i went 3 hours against him to beat him on mission 11 on devil hunter mode, now after 2 hours cant beat him on mission 20. Rest of game has been really eays no problems. Feel like i want to kill someone at the moment, so frustrating.

Many have asked this question you should be able to find alot of answers by searching this forum.

Sanctus is definitely one of the easiest bosses in the game. The only challenging part is getting near him - his attacks are all easy to dodge, so you shouldn't really be dying over and over again, but it could take awhile.

Rev up a full Exceed, pull your way towards him and nail him with the EX Calibur when he's in range and stops to attack. If you DT right after this, it'll be enough to drop him to the ground for some massive DT combos and a buster.

The final stage is practically a give-me. You know those big sword charges? You can hit him with a Buster right out of them. Fight over.

Also using charge shot 3 on him after you bust his shield will stun him after the second explosion for a second. The hardest part is targeting him instead of his flying hook things.

Once you take his sheild down and he darts around everywhere let him do 1 attack and just as he is about to start the attack use one of the orb thingys he sends out to grab onto and then either (if mission 20) I think you either hit him with Devil Arm or you can just slash at him with your sword. Once done that grab him with Devil Trigger on and hammer X (shoots him while you do the big grab move).

just use holy water you can afford this easily by farming red orbs on mission 3.
