when i started playing the game i saw a menu called save/load
i thought that this was cool because you can stop playing whenever you want.
and so i did because i wanted to take my dogs for a walk
when i returned and tried to load the game, this was impossible
the game starts from the beginning of the mission
so my question is this:
what's the point having a save/load option when you cannot use it??
the levels are quite big.
why the game does not have checkpoints??

if a new all this i might not buy the game
i am very disappointed....

there are checkpoints for when you die at the time statue places but
the levels are short 15-20mins are longest spent on a level
what makes them seem long is the cutscenes you can skip these and watch the l8r in the theatre mode

why wud it of stoped u buying the game lol it easy on the 1st difficulties and the graphics rock

i don't like games that you can't continue from the same point you stopped it when you shut down the console.
the same thing happens with perfect dark zero

Well Jaferris explained it well, the missions aren't very long and if your going for completion on this game you will have to play the game through 6 times to complete all of the difficulty levels, not to mention numerous repeats to get S Ranks for 4 of the difficulty levels. So its really more of play at least a mission at a time type of game, rather than only for a few checkpoints worth.

maybe it's my disappointment when i realised that i have to play the mission from the start.

however i play the games only one time in the easiest difficulty.
i play for fun not achievements.

Missions take no longer than 25 minutes to complete. Some took me an hour but thats because I've got a bad habit of running around stupidly.

Seriously though, saying you wouldn't have bought a game if you couldnt save at checkpoints is a bit retarded, wtf is the point of playing a 'Mission' if you can save half way? It's not very immersive that way.

You can save at the end of every mission. Just finish the mission and save...

Besides what everyone has already said, which i agree with, how is playing a game once on the lowest difficulty fun?

I love a good challenge, sure i loved the story which i enjoyed on the the lowest difficulty. Then Devil Hunter was awesome just skipping cutscenes and kicking ass. Im now getting my ass handed to me by Son of Sparda but im loving it!!

Since the missions are short, its perfectly logical for the game to save progress for each level.

If you want to start the game from the exact same place where you left it, get a PSP instead.
