how do i beat this guy when he starts rushing at u with his sword

He becomes vulnerable for a few seconds after the final rush with the sword (after he charges up). You can sideroll to avoid every rush, just make sure you end up near him after the final one so you can attack him.

tried that but he will not fall down

You need to activate Yamato and finish him up with a devil trigger. That should work. Good luck!
