Croft Manor Pool Area Question

Here's the situation:

I have all of the bronze rewards, all but 1 silver, and all but 1 gold reward for Croft Manor. The last silver reward is in the pool behind the metal door that is suppose to open up when you click on that tongue statue that flips over when you turn the two statues on the 2nd floor. It's also the entrance to the tunnel that leads to the gym.
The first door opened up, but the second one didn't. I pulled the lever in the pool as well.

What am I missing? I clicked both buttons/levers, but the second "door" won't open. I've read a number of FAQs and it says the second door should open as I approach it. Do I have to be at a certain point of the game for that door to open? I've finished through Ghana.

If anyone has some insight, I'd appreciate it!

Check out the link below. I used this faq for the croft manor and had no trouble at all. he collects ALL rewards; the Bronze, Silver, and Gold.

Just a heads up, you are not missing any achievements by not getting all rewards (if that was your concern).

Thanks for the help guys. I managed to get all 1,000 points anyway. I checked around, and people think it's a glitch with the game.
