I just read some interesting news that puts two upcoming films that I was really looking forward to in trouble! Thought you guys might be interested.
The Tolkien is sueing New Line Cinema, pretty much saying that they didn't pay up for the LOTR movies and with The Hobbit movie getting ready to be made, it could spell trouble for the new flick. Link here. (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/hobbitnews.php?id=41842)
Also if any of you are comic fans, then I'm sure you've heard of Zack Snyder's adaptation of Alan Moore's Watchmen. Well it turns out that Fox is saying that they own the rights and are seeking to stop Warner Bros. from finishing the movie! I believe that the filming has been completed and they're just moving into post-production but this could delay the movie for a long time! More info here. First off, its spelled jeopardy. Second, who says stinks? Third, I know, I've heard. Bad, bad news. I was looking forward to The Watchmen.

I don't know how I feel about this. I love the book with all my heart and soul, so there is a huge possibility that this could turn out horribly. Yes, Snyder did an excellent job on 300 but there's a part of me that feels all the characters I love (Rorschach's my boy!) will be ruined.

You mean "it's" not "its" and Watchmen has no "the" in front of it. Face. ;) And no, I do not claim perfect spelling or grammar. So, there's no use in correcting me because I know I made plenty of errors.

Haha yeah I kept spelling it different ways and they all looked wrong to me, so I just went with it.

I'm with you on that boat, but I do believe that if any director out there right now could do it, it would be him. He did an excellent job keeping 300 in line with the book(except for a few things) and I liked his idea to go with relatively unknown or smaller time actors for most of the roles.

Not always up to the director though. Sometimes a poor cast and cast selection can ruin the entire movie. For example, Topher Grace as Venom. Very poor choice. The movie I thought was fairly well directed but sometimes, actors fail.

With the current epidemic of prequelitis ravaging todays cinema, I don't see how The Hobbit couldn't be made. It's the prequel to rule all prequels. All we currently have to fill the void is that cartoon from back-in-the-day and the inspiring "Bilbo Baggins" song, as performed by Leonard Nemoy(Spock).
-Grammar & spelling police may now have their way with my post.

Can't see anything...wait, there should be a space after Nemoy and before the parenthesis.
And don't hate on the Hobbit cartoon.
