OK, was browsing minding my own business and then BAM!!!
Your severs went down for 5-10 mins.
Then tried again and Bob's your uncle, your back on again.
The point to this???
When you came back up, the first thing I noticed was that your news post said you had new server's!!!
Irony is a strange thing!!!!
Sorry if this in the wrong place

It's possibly because there isn't just you who comes on here, the thousands of visitors strain the server.
Hope this helps.

Nope, we've just upgraded too new servers. The downtime will be Routine just fixing one or two small things, or checking things are working properly I'd imagine.

Um, our site hardly ever goes down, lol. We had a few hours last week due to server change, and a little bit today. Not sure what the explanation is for today, havent talked to Routine, but going down for a few minutes isn't that big of a deal, he may have been adding something.
We're back up now, so enjoy :)

Your mom is an admin at AOL?
I find that hard to believe.

I find that hard to believe.
Especially due to the fact that we just learned it wasn't due to too much traffic.

Okay mate I understand, I actually don't know why I said that because if its due to too much traffic it just won't load but this said database error which just means the site is off.

Unless I'm mistaken Routine probably fixed some things on the server as before when looking at the site through IE the gamercard of the poster wasn't displaying and on Firefox it was the old layout with the same person's gamercard displaying for EVERYONE. Was that way this morning too, server is down sometime today and now everything is correct so that's my guess as to what was done.

I don't really think thats necessary dude seriously, try being nice for a change.

This can be from a few different things but most often probably running a backup of some things or just a quick update to the database; both are necessary aren't they?
Its kind of funny though, the site goes down for 5 to 10 minutes and people start acting like they did when LIVE was down for multiple weeks; some come off as if X360A owes them something for the outage like they feel MS owes them something for not being able to play online games. Instead of sitting here debating what caused the outage, what their parents do, or what internet company is sucks take Krazie's advice and enjoy it. Its a simple fact that if the site went down there's a logical reason, for all you know the powers that be were updating some things to bring new projects to life.
Now what would you rather have; a site that never goes down but never changes? Or a site that has to be taken down once in a while to update things and bring new features to its members? ;)

It has happened to me once and a while, it will usually come back together about 10 minutes later. It's like any site, they will shut down temporarily like any other site. Sites from Photobucket to Walmart, they all maintain the site. It's not uncommon, but I'm glad that people are making sure that everything is alright. If it happened often, I would ask why too.
