how to choose the difficulty

Well, I'll get this game soon, should i take human or devil hunter difficulty?

I played the first dmc on normal and i was stuck near the end (where you fight a sort of larva for the 3rd time), that disgusted me from the game. But i see that you must make multiple play through to get all difficulty achievement.

So I like making my first play trough to enjoy the game and then doing the a game again to unlock harder difficulty. compared to dmc1 is it harder or easier?

Easier than DMC1 start on human and enjoy it as it is easy then when you replay on devil hunter you will still have all the skills & health upgrades etc you got from competeing it on human

I actully think devil hunter mode is quite good to start on because it's not to tough, it has a small sense of challenge to it and will leave your controller intact.

I would start out of Devil Hunter as well, its not to bad, a few moments when u will scream, but thats what pumps me up more to finish the game :D

It's actually harder than DMC1, but easier than 3.

3 has been the hardest in the series to date. Although Hell or Hell might be the most difficult I have come across, due to the fact its like Heaven or Hell in DMC3 but the enemies don't die in one hit.

I never played a DMC before and i started on Devil Hunter Mode its not too rough im moving along slowly lol

So i finally got this game.
I played mission 1 and 2 on devil hunter, i think it's a little bit too challenging. So I started again in human, to keep my upgrade for next difficulty like it was said. I'm on mission 11 now and i often finish the boss with low life, so it's good for me i can enjoy the story without being stuck.

Same, i played Human mode first for an un-interupted story line =]. (Apart from the fact i was new to the DMC series and thought devil hutner would own me)

I've seen that achievement don't stack, i didn't pay attention of it. I think it resolve all the problems, if you must do all the difficulty setting, just begin by human mode.
Perhaps this tread can be locked now.
