I assumed they didn't so I started on Human. Getting ready to go back through to mesmerize the misions, and get 'S'ranking in human mode.

Devil Hunter. Finished it on human, only got the game on friday, going to do it on Devil hunter to unlock bloody palace. Then i will come back to it later :).

Edit: Finished DH mode, got bloody palace. Probably won't play SOS for some time.

Well I just got mine on Thursday, it was released a day after the US version plus the CE got shipped late to EB so I was stuck waiting two days after you lucky people :P

I'm currently on Human mode, because I like to work my way through them all. Honestly though, I should've started on the higher level first and worked my way down, that way you're not as "god, this is insanely hard!" about it.

Proud souls, all items, orbs, your DT gauge, and your health carry over between difficulties and characters so you can play any mission in any order on any difficulty and all the orbs/souls you have collected will still be available.

I have started a new game and I have received 0 proud souls from level 7 on Human with an overall score of A. Is that right? ( I have completed Human difficulty on another save).

On mission 6 of son of sparta, No where near as hard as DMC3. Only problem is the chimera infected enemies, would be easy if Nero's gun didn't suck.

Finished Human Mode and a couple missions away from completing Devil Hunter Mode.

But I am going back and getting S on Human Mode before going to Son of Sparda mode. Also gotta have fun with the Bloody Palace. :P

I have started a new game and I have received 0 proud souls from level 7 on Human with an overall score of A. Is that right? ( I have completed Human difficulty on another save).

I've completed a few levels where I haven't recieved any souls at all, I'm not to sure why this happens. I don't remeber them being bad ratings, I had initially thought that it was becuase I wasn't breaking my record for that level, but then on other levels I would get souls even though my score was lower than the record, so I'm pretty sure thats not what causes it. Any one else have any ideas?

I just beat heaven or hell mode last night which was easy... as of course you and enemies die in one hit... however in each mission you have 3 yellow orb icons that DO NOT take away from your total when you do (and you will) get hit. You still need to break Sancus's shield... twice but hey one hit breaks the shield. And the savior fight is filled with close calls..... oh and now I'm about to do mission six on Dante Must Die mode..... christ those added blitz's really hurt... OH YEAH enemies have DT in DMD mode... so yeah... good luck with that.

I just got my game back from a friend and gonna start it in a few so the achievements dont stack should I just start on human and get familiar with it or go straight to devil hunter. I have pass experience with DMC I beat Part 3 in dante must die so I know how to play but just want to know.

i got it 2 days ago im up to mission 19 on son of sparda :| ive completed it on human and devil hunter. i think its quite easy compared to devil may cry 3 but i havnt tried must die mode on this one yet.

this game is addictive... :| does anyone know if there are any milestones on bloody palace or do you have to do all 90 levels :|

yeah a few tips for anyone new to the game.

the enemies with lightning around them you can use holy water to get rid of the lightning and then just use buster with nero to smash them...
and mission 11. when the guy is in the stupid bubble which ****** me off break the bubble get close and holy water the bas... and he will fall to the floor.

I did Human first time because i wanted to get to know the levels, enjoy the story, and generally gain some experience.

I never played a DMC before so it was cool leaning on a curve before i got smacked in the face by the higher difficulties.

Currently mission 3 on DH... (which is now really easy due to DT and lots of unlocked abilities)

On Mission 9 DMD difficulty. This is my first DMC so I am trying to get better with more advanced techniques such as well timed dodging and what not. I like this game so much I have to go and play the first 3 now.

Completed Human in a few hours on the day of release for us here in the US, but that was just to get a feel for it since I've been a fan and player of the franchise for a while. Currently going through Devil Hunter mode but taking my time and trying to get "S" ranking on each level and stacking orbs and souls for the upgrades and items.

Are you joking? DMC3 was far harder.

You get 'Hell or Hell' on this so think of Human as easy, in DMC3 there was no EASY.

Well, there was but the it worked like this-

Easy Automatic
Normal
Hard
Dante Must Die
Heaven or Hell

European
As above but double the difficulty for each mode.
Easy Automatic - Japanese Normal
Normal - Japanese Hard
Hard - Japanese DMD
DMD - Japanese HOH
HOH - What we know in DMC4 as 'Hell or Hell'

Consider Devil Hunter like Japanese Hard.
It's confusing I know. But apparently they dumbed down the difficulty in the Japanese version of 3 because they were given bad reviews over there due to the difficulty during testing so they dumbed it down.

Did you never wonder why Metal Gear Solid had European Extreme? Ha.

Son of Sparda, about to face toad on mission 15, and just got the golden orb above the door, go me, go me. After this gonna go for the Mill red orb acheivment, rock on!
