I need help getting SSS on mission 11

I am have trouble getting SSS on the statue for the blue fragment.

I am playing on human, I have a couple of power ups, roullette, calibur, and a couple of basic combo's.

Is there anything in perticular I should have, or do to get SSS, I can get it to say Smokin' Style and thats the best I can do.


any tips would be appreciated thanks.

yeah it took me an unreasonably long time to get SSS..
just use every combo you have and dont repeat things back to back..just change it up each time..

You should be able to get to an SS ranking with your normal combos and such. When you reach the SS ranking, try using one of those expensive Devil Trigger Moves! Worked for me.

I surprisingly got SSS with a gun charge from Nero. I managed to kill all 3 enemies with 1 bullet, I was quite surprised when I saw the S then the SS and then the SSS. I literally did a double take lol

I got it while playing with automatic turned on and targeting the thing and after a little time I got it. All I had to do was when it didn't move for a sec hit the B button and then right back into swinging my sword.

I have recieved SSS combos twice so far the first was against one of those things that gives you a blue crystal, and the second was whilst fighting the boss on mission 7 (the dragon), happened whilst I was explaining why I didn't like fighting that boss :woop:

I wasted 15mins on lvl 11 with this until I turned on automatic. Got it in 3mins.

It's actually really easy to do it if you do it my way... it just takes time but works. Start off by high rollering the thing do an air combo right into a helm splitter then do a streak then buster it, high roller, air combo, splitter, streak, high roller, air combo, splitter, streak, buster. So after you do the core combo twice do a buster. It works pretty well as basic combos don't do much for the style meter.

I guess it just relays on your skill and knowledge towards to game but basiclly DONT use the same combo twice in a row also spread them out
Use your devil arm to seperate combos
And just come accustumed to the way the combat is in the game and skills

how do I turn on automatic? it sounds like something that would help me. I don't have the patients to learn all the many combos this game offers. But I am still willing to try.

When selecting the mission to play a picture of the character you'll be using is displayed on the right hand side of the screen, press left or right to change to automatic, and I agree with Riverpatrol using automatic makes getting an SSS combo easier, having more combos, and using DT will also help.

Ah come on, Automatic is cheating, real men do it manual. ;)


For me, I started with Red Queen combo 1(Y,Y,Y,Y), then RQ Combo 3(Y,wait, then mash on the Y button til it ends...), followed by RQ Combo 4(Y,Y, wait, then Y,Y,Y,Y). After words, I followed up with a High Roller, quick air combo, then a splitter with a buster afterwards. Then I repeated all those combos again.

Eventually got the combo to SSS and an achievement to boot. :drunk

To me it wasn't that hard. All I had to do was do back to back combos and make sure I didn't break the combo line, and I got both achievements.

I got the SSS fighting that statue i just kept using exceed boost every attack.( flick the left trigger just as you attack)

Just use exceed people. with practice it gets easier!
I got the SSS on my first try against the blue fragment guy, in about only 2 minutes.

Also don't forget to use Yamato, his attacks count separately, so you can use the same combo again with him

Umm, what is automatic anyway? I'm new to the DMC series but i played this through with automatic turned off, and it was pretty easy.
