Same missions?

I know this sounds stupid but are the game types (dante must die, son of sparda, etc.) all the same? I know that the human and devil hunter are the same but devil hunter is more difficult, is that correct? But are all the other game modes the exact same just a different difficulty? I would be fairly boring completing the game like 5 times. If anybody can tell me i would be grateful, cheers.

I haven't unlocked those modes myself so I can only speculate but from what I have read around the place they are just higher difficuly settings, they may unlock content but the game itself is unchanged.
