i know it is a great game
however you have to do the same thing over and over again
go to the city, klimb view points, make investigations, go to the bureau, assassin target
9 times
what do you think?

I've heard that a lot of people complain about that. But I don't share that opinion with others. If I had to guess, I'd say I've played AC for well over 35 hours. I've finished it beginning to end twice. Collected every flag, completed every bar, and killed countless thousands of guards. And I'm still going to keep playing this game.
When playing it for the first time I never got tired of the investigations because I never actively sought them out, I just explored the city, and when I ran by one I'd do it in less than 2 minutes. I like listening to the conversations these people make, too. That failed assassination of the executor was particularly sad.
I love the story, I love Altair's character, I love the graphics, I love the fighting, I love the free-running, and I love the freedom. I like how the Acre bureau leader is cynical, I like the wise cracks of the Damascus bureau leader, and I really like the story of Malik. I just wish that novel was published, I'd buy it in a heart beat.

That's the whole problem; many people don't bother to listen to the storyline. Most people (like me) just want to play and that gets boring. I hate to collect all flags and I hate that some conversations take forever. Some free missions (like listening) will get boring, but others like assassinate in 3 minutes can still be fun and a bit more difficult. I love the moves of AC and I like to learn moves during the game, but what I miss is a challenge. Everything is to easy. It doesn't really matter how much guards you're fighting with, because only one will attack you at the time.
This game is a good beginning for the two other parts that have to come. No more no less.

well the whole concept of doing repetitive info gathering is a big minus for a game like this but I had way too much fun, with the storyline, open gameplay and the stealth man i love stealth, i told myself i wasn't going after the flags and was just gonna go for templars but I will see this game through to 100% and no i'm not bored with it, i mean it just looks so cool, i guess i'm a suck for theatrics, when i'm in control of Altair I slowly walk around, slowly shifting the camera angles for cool effects, thats a lot of fun by it self as well. Man i love climbing that view point on the really tall church and shifting the camera it looks absolutely amazing. :)

I loved it the first time through, really regret not catching onto the "Conversationist" and the memory glitch achievements earlier on. So second time through isnt as fun, but still pretty good. The real downer for me is the flags, im not even going to try to get them.

I don't find it repetitive at all. I am still enjoying myself in my first playthrough that has lasted me a month so far. I take it a little bit at a time. I don't think I have played for more than three hours or so in one sitting, so that way I keep it fresh.
There are only a couple things that bother me. First, the drunks. Second, getting spotted by the guards when you weren't doing anything. It turns into a pointless run or pointless battle. I just want to move on!
But other than that I am content with this game. 8/10

If they come out with DLC it will renew everyones taste for the game. I am not sure if they will but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

It was pretty damn annoying that you had to do the same investigations over and over, but i think the great storyline really helped push me along to do all the investigations and such...the assassinations were the best part

man i totally hear you. it was ok the first couple of times but after that it just got boring, especially finding all those damn flags

Got bored after the first playthrough. I just didn't find it entertaining going back to the game and collect flags for some achievements.

Yeah, I found it really boring going back for flags and templars. Wish I had rented the game.

The game definitely got tedious for me. Move into a new area, save citizens, climb view points, investigate, get flags, and then FINALLY an assassination that lasts all of a few minutes and...back to the grind. The concept was cool and it was fun for a while, but having gotten 1000 in one playthrough I definitely don't have any desire to pick the game up again.

whats frustrating to me is I grabbed a bunch of the king richard flags while playing through the first time so when I went back and used the maps, I had now idea which ones I missed. Even though there are pictures, I'm sure I overlooked a couple or didnt look where I was supposed to so by the time I reached flag 100 on the map, I only had 98. Kinda pissed but the second time through I made sure not to get any so they would all be there when I decided to hunt them.

The Game really has no use once you do everything---Don't get me wrong, just way too vague....Needed more stuff to do Instead of Collecting a million Flags....Imagine if there was Online Play~we'd all wonder how it would be

Yeah for sure...Great game but after playing it for 1 week straight and finally getting 1000/1000 a couple hours ago, its time to return it to blockbuster and start crackin out on something else. :uzi:

I don't find it boring at all. I find the combat controls to be a little tedious, but that's another story. I rather enjoy saving citizens and doing the 3+ target kills for the informants.

Only when grinding for flags and templars. Don't even remind me about the Kingdom....:(

What's also a bit stupid is that if you are blinding and walking like 1 meter away from somewhone who got some wood in there hands (or other stuff) they'll drop it right away and you got spotted by the guards. This doesn't make any sense.

in all honesty, i can't stand the game. The controls don't seem to like me very much, there is not really much to do at all, and finally, the achievements are driving me crazy :)
I probably would like the game a lot more if it was up to all the hype it got. I thought it was going to be more like fable, but stealthy and assassin-y. guess not. *sigh* guess I'm gonna go play bioshock :drunk
oh and online wouldv'e been awesome :P the developers were bragging so much about how many nps's could wander around your screen at a time. think about a few different servers with a whole bunch of assassins doing stuff.
there could have also been ctf, but i don't know how that would work. im still game for the free for all rpg stupid online game sorta thing where you just piss off the world :)

I didn't find it boring at all, I just enjoyed myself with doing leaps of faith, killing guards, etc. It was a great experience. I managed to get a 1000 on my first play through and that's enough for me, but mostly because The Club and Burnout Paradise are begging me to put them in the 360 instead of AC ;)

I got bored right at the very end and the "ending" sort of killed it for me. Of course at the time I didn't know it was a trilogy. But still theres alot to do in the game.

I just finished the second assassination and it's kind of sinking in why people say it's repetitive. It's not that fighting isn't satisfying or free running isn't any fun. It's just everything is so locked into a pattern.
I think the most annoying thing about the game is how soldiers freak out when you are riding around on the horse in between cities. What do they care?
I dread getting the 200 knives stolen achievement more than going after the flags. Big time grind that.

It is a great game but the flags really seem to bore me don't really like collecting 100 of something throughout a game

I enjoyed the story line A LOT. IMO it should be longer and less repetitive. The flags were just boring if you ask me. Not a big favorite of mine.

It was a very good story, but one playthrough was enough and I wasn't going to waste my time finding flags or Templars.

It's not that bad. If you use the knives regularly, it will go by quickly. I use them all the time on the rooftops, helps take those archers out quick.

As long as you dont play it for a long time in a row it wont get boring. I never got bored with it, small doses worked fine.

yea thats the way to do it. dont play it all straight...or take breaks by just running around and killing people...another fun thing to do is to get in a fight, then switch to your hidden blade and counter-attack the guys...hard but makes it more interesting

Yeah I beat the game twice to get conversationalist and to reset the flags so I could use maps.. but after beating it twice and having it take me like 2 hours to get one section in Acre done I just gave up and sold the game, but now that I think of it I wish I still had it so I could get those last couple achievements.. but I have no print so yea..

Rent it mate. I personally didn't find it boring, loved every second of it; great game!
yes! it gets really boring afetr a while especially when you constantly keep getting into easy batlles with guards over and over while you're trying to do something else.

I loved the game, but now that I've finished and have most of the achievements, there's almost no replay value.
